You think sega VR and the virtual boy weren't successful because VR is intrinsically bad?

A more sensible explanation was they were crap. The tech is only now becoming affordable and decent enough to make it worthwhile.. VR with no head movements is not really VR.

Move makes sense if you want to track two hands separately.. Which could be important eventually. Not much point using traditional control schemes and just slapping VR on top.

Where else would they wear it? Virtual reality codpiece?

I am definitely buying ONE VR headset, whether it be oculus or this i don't know yet. It's a niche product but word of mouth and personal experiences with the tech will snowball things a bit. It doesn't have to sell amazing numbers.

Ermm.. I keep seeing xbox fans hating on infamous. :)

But yeah, n4g is largely a ps4 fan echo chamber.. They're a big majority so there's more chance of lopsided hater comments that direction.

Looks exactly like Call Of Duty .. Apart from the pilot-able but also orderable robot suits, the drops, the wall running, the jetpacks, the bots..

How different do they have to make it before people stop thinking it's COD?

What? Managing inventory? You mean making sure there are actually consoles to buy? Thats all they've been doing and there's nothing shady about it.

So.. This is how one goes about losing bubbles?

You sound like an insane street preacher.

That' sounds very fanboy..

TF is obviously good for what it is. And fun. And expensively produced. The maps are widely complimented too.

I hate this bipartisan stuff.. When we get a sequel/spin off on ps4 it'll be fun here too. You don't have to like everything, but other people aren't wrong for liking it.

It obviously offers something pretty unique, and its ubisoft.. I mean, why not? It's pretty and nice sounding enough that anyone paying for it is likely to get their money's worth.

And a lot of JRPGs aren't amazing either.. It doesn't really have to compete, just be good for what it is..

Eg: south park the stick of truth, costume quest - very western games with jrpg mechanics that are actually really good on their own merits.

People saying that have obviously been wrong..

Using mobiles/tablets as a secondary/complementary thing for "proper" games is pretty cool though. I loved the second screen functionality in Assassins Creed 4

Lol i know what G&W was, i was questioning you bringing it up as it's pretty much irrelevant. G&W weren't consoles.

The game and watch was an inevitability, and was actually a whole range of different pieces of kit. Loads of other companies made similar lcd games too.. (I had a few)

The Gameboy would make more sense - that was the real big step in handheld gaming, and actually a console by the modern definition.

Also the iPho...

Game and Watch? there is non-shovelware on mobile too.. It's not as if nintendo handhelds are lacking in shovel ware either!

Mine doesn't do that.. :I

The only thing I've noticed is the wonky way it treats browser tabs when it's low on memory to display stuff.. it just randomly drops images sometimes. Otherwise mine is totally responsive.

I guess.. Where are you and why is your internet so bad?

For most of the PS4's current territories 300mb is nothing.

4395d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

What sort of connections do you guys have where 300MB is worth caring about? it's a background download, it's no big deal at all.

Any stability improvements are welcome, though I've not had glitches anyway. The big updates are coming at some point, what's the rush?

Lol.. 2MB ram expansions cost a lot more than that on most 16/32bit computers that supported them.

I spent ~£200 on an accelerator for my Amiga that made it run at.. 50mhz. Lol.

Edit: oh, you mean on the A600? That makes sense. That went in the only expansion bay, so you had to replace it later if you ever wanted more. You could never upgrade the base "chip" ram on amigas.. (1MB on most. 16bit models and 2MB on the 32bit ones)

But.. Youvrealise games covering the same subject matter stull play totally differently?

People will still want to play other stuff however much you cram i to a game. You cant really have cod/bf/arma gameplay all in the same game.

That's very north korea of you. Its great we get articles with different opinions. We can just choose to ignore the ones we think are stupid.

I loved the dlc, but i can see how someone with different criteria to me might not like it, or even tlou as a whole. (I cant really relate to those people but i know a few who just aren't into story at all)

The fact that its a "bad" (even though 7 really isn't) score is what got people commenting h...

I don't think the comic is totally necessary, but it does explain a bit about the central relationship in the dlc. They make shout outs to it in dialogue a lot.

I don't mind game writers relying on supplementary materials if they suit those materials better than games and if they do it respectfully.. Druckmann wrote the comic, and that story wouldn't have made for very good dlc.

I think they probably should have included the comic with the dlc.. B...

Unfinished origin story? Whuut?

I guess if he didn't read the comic and he has no imagination that might be true.

One of the best things about TLOU's writing is that it has the maturity not to explain every single little thing. Much of it's in the details, and you can extrapolate most of it from the dialog and environment.
