I honestly think the whole reason why the 360 is losing face is because of the hardware issues. If MS somehow managed to make a 99% reliable console, you should bet that more people would buy it. I know a few people exactly right now who's on the fence about getting a 360. I told them it has a big library of action games right now, XBL has a lot of downloadable games. But nope, they still won't buy one. And they don't want the PS3 either for some reason.

I seriously have 4 separate friends who has a X360 that RROD on them. One of them just sent it back into MS and got a refurb, the other 3 got a PS3 (alongside with the refurbs). So it's not a "MYTH" as some of you guys are trying to make it look like. I've been fortunate enough my 360 is still living since almost launch day.

Come on microsoft, the more you release 360 exclusives on PCs, the more you lose 360 sales. Cause guess what, some PS3 owners own a PC as well. Even if it's only 10,000 people in the U.S. that happens to own a PS3 and a PC gaming rig. It's still 10,000 potential 360 buyers who would have swayed that PS3 owner to also get a 360 if you would just keep all the exclusive games, exclusive.
I'm afraid the PSP is a victim to piracy which probably results in the low software attatch rate.

The reason why the 360 sold 3mil less in '07 compard to '06, is because the other part of the market is buying Wii's and PS3's. Back in 2006, the 360 was the hottest thing on the market with no competition from another console. Of course in 2007, they will sell less units quite simply cause people are buying other consoles. And the Wii happens to be the dominant console of choice among consumers.

Yeah that's what I thought. COD4 and Halo 3 has some serious jaggies from far distances (still pretty clear up close) while DMC4 still looks very smooth. So it's definitely not 640p.
Secondly, whoever said "you cant tell the difference between 100 pixels" is ignorant.
First, resolution is multiplied. Like 1280x640 = 819200 pixels
And 1280x720 = 921600 pixels.
That's just about 100,000 more pixels assuming it's 1280x640 and not 1080...
Its not really that bad, seeing as how you cant take your PS2 with you in the toilet or at the salon waiting for your girlfriend.
Because every PS3 in the world comes with a built-in HDD. I'm sure if the 360 had a built-in HDD in all of they're systems, they could have incorporated a "install" feature on all they're games reducing load times, and caching textures and data.

When I looked at Halo 3, there was immense amount of jags left and right, especially things in the distance. Looks like garbage.
Then there was COD4. Everything from the distance had horrible jags as well. Just as bad as Halo 3.

Yeah 2008 has a lot of promising titles for the PS3. I mean, heck, GTA IV. Even though that's multiplatform, it will sell like crazy for PS3 and most likely even more so on 360. Something the Wii doesn't have. Secondly, MGS4, that will sell a lot for the PS3. Again, something the Wii doesn't have. And to top it off, Killzone 2 will garner a lot of sales from hype alone regardless of the game's actual result. And to finish off 2008, Resistance 2 will be the huge mega seller for the PS3. If this was a 360 game, and they did the debut launch day with hot skimpy japanese models with short skirts here in the U.S. They would have had a long line of fans waiting for an autograph. Not a couple people like in the japan launch.
It's just so sad to see a good game bomb so badly at launch in they're home country.

Value wise, a PS3/360 is worth more than any $250 Wii.
However, to the general consumer, the $250 Wii which brings they're family together is priceless.
