Maybe if the game comes out to be good, Japanese people might actually buy a 360 to play it.
Multiplat titles are getting better on PS3, but it all depends on how passionate the developer is about working with the hardware. There's still a lot of developers like Gabe Newell who think the PS3 is a waste of they're time just because it's different.
Even if the Cell Processor isn't what Sony hyped it up to be, there's still the fact that there's a built-in HDD in every console and Blu-Ray disc to use.
By the end of 2008, I think we're going to start seeing PS...
If you need 20 10/10's to be convinced GTA IV is a great game, then you shouldn't play video games at all. Stick to golf.
heyheyhey, yeah the bias is clearing away. But you can tell from most of the review sites that they really wanted the 360 version to be the better one at least graphically.
No actually it will probably be something like
"The 360 is Capable of a better frame rate, and if it had a theoretical optional install it would have a much less pop-ups than the PS3 version. And if the 360 version was running 4x AA, it would look smoother than the PS3 version. 10/10 for the 360, and 9.0/10 for the PS3 because the 360 could have easily been better than the PS3."
sillek or whatever the heck your name is. You seriously misterunderstood what the guy is talking about. he's not saying that the differences are "so small that it boils down to multiplayer."
he's saying that the multiplayer experience on either console is phenomenal would be best enjoyed if you bought it on the one with all your friends REGARDLESS that the PS3 version is graphically superior.
Uh, the whole install into the HDD thing is what's making the PS3 version have less pop-ups because it's using cached data that's saved on the hard drive. So even if the blu-ray disk was 100000x slower than the dvd9, it won't matter because it's being cached from the HDD. Any person with minimal computer knowledge knows that.
Stop trying to Spin and make the HDD install like it's a bad thing. That's old. Give it up. When those fakes stories of an optional HDD install for the 360 ...
I agree, however the majority of reviews so far who at least reviewed both versions all agree that the PS3 version has faster load times, a better frame rate, less pop-ups, and more anti-aliasing for smoother edges.
Of course except kotaku who said the exact opposite.
Kotaku, a subsidiary of Microsoft
Gears 2 is going to be good, but it's a totally different type of game. GTA IV will definitely be awarded for it's solid multi platform release as well.
I think this whole "Game of the Year" thing is pretty stupid in general.
There are numerous games in a year that are excellent and worth every penny.
I personally like the Genre specific games of the year.
basically anywhere that's not in the U.S
The U.S. is xbox360 territory
End of War, there's no where in that article that states it has a better resolution or better lighting. the only thing they said is that they "think" the 360 version has more vibrant colors, but that also contributes to it looking more cartoony.
Is that so Bean?

I'm getting Gears 2 also. I loved the original Gears of War and think it's one of the best games I've ever played in this generation. But graphically, we still have to wait and see what they can truely do. Cliffy B. says Gears 2 is going to raise the bar graphically? But he was also the same guy that said Gea...
I agree with Unreal looking too much like, umm. An unreal engine. lol What pisses me off about the unreal engine is even when I played UT3 on my PC at 1920x1080 resolution, it still had some aliasing even on max settings. I was expecting pure utter smoothness.
Let's not all jump to conclusions over a few screen shots here. Maybe it could run 1920x1080p @60fps. But how many times has something been hyped about graphics to only be disappointed by game play? I say wait and see first before we make any real judgment.
Great. Now people are arguing over box arts.
I think video games do make people more and more retarded.
Uew Boll should fight Kimbo Slice
I would love to see the end result
To be honest, for those believing the whole "No game deserves a perfect score! No game is perfect!" need to realize one thing. This game actually truely delivers on it's promise. It has EVERYTHING wanted in a video game this generation. It has the graphics, story, RPG elements, action, moral dilemas (bioshock anyone?), intelligent AI, long hours of single player campaign (gamers are tired of 6-10 hour sprints), and multiplayer with tons of modes! All for a small price of $60. It's 1...
It looks like a Unreal Engine bowser. Actually looks really good.
