Honestly, by the end of this year, who the hell won't want a PS3? GTA IV, MGS4, LBP, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Wardevil, Heavy Rain, Final Fantasy XIII, Gran Turismo 5, God of War III etc. all on the horizon into 2009. Plenty of damn reasons to own a PS3.
360 people, why is it such a bad thing to own both consoles? Since you guys are such "HARDCORE" gamers, then you would only be able to enjoy the fact that "Exclusives" don't mean jack to you because you'd be ...
First thing I'll probably do is look for a hooker, get what's coming, then kill her and take back the money. Yeah. That's what I'll do.
Boll should stick to what he does best. Shutting the F*** up. =)
So lemme get this straight, PS3 people say GTA IV is superior on the PS3, and 360 people say "Oh it's just a minor difference!"
and when these games are better on the 360 we get a lot of "hahahaha PS3 sUx 360 RuLez!" kind of attitude.
Therein lies the problem of a Casual games machine. It will be made by a casual minded developer.
You only get quality games with a passionate developer. Bioshock, GTAIV, Metal Gear Series, etc. all have one thing in common. They want to reach above the bar, and then raise it.
With Wii developers, it's more like "we can make some quick bucks with this game"
that is correct name. the install base of PS2 around that time was probably only about 30 million. infact, MGS2 was one of the sole reasons why people even bought a PS2.
So the PS3 has a built-in HDD in every console and Blu-Ray, and you say it was done to the PS3's limitations?
So the PS3 version has more Anti-Aliasing, more stable frame rates, less pop-ins, faster loading times and you say the PS3 is limited?
If anything, the PS3 is limited by the 360. If Rockstar was let loose to use a 50gb blu-ray, it would be 5 times more quality of a game than the 360 version.
Get your head out of your rear end dude. Enough sour g...
Of course, people will hate something that is not to they're advantage, and then praise it if it was on they're console. Like Blu-Ray, HDD on every console, and Wifi.
Assassin's creed actually did pretty well on the PS3 worldwide. The gaps are really closing in. Maybe that's why they agreed to just let Haze be an exclusive to the PS3.
Assuming PS3 owners even buy Haze considering it's an afterthought to GTA IV and right before MGS4.
I'm going to say MGS4 is going to sell 6-7 million in it's lifetime. It is the last in the series, the added hype and hate from 360 owners will make more people want to buy it just to see what it's all about. Plus the metal gear fans around the WORLD will buy it because it's the Grand Finale.
It doesn't seem to be a matter of opinion. The PS3 version just has better load times, less pop-ins, more Anti-Aliasing, and a better frame rate.
Back in 2007, PS3 games suffered from exactly that. Long load times, graphical pop-ins, way less Anti-Aliasing, and of course horrible frame rates compared to the 360 counterpart.
But GTA IV is one of the most important games for the PS3 and R* did the fanbase justice by using the hardware's features.
And to b...
Yeah I agree. Even a game that's going to be as masterful MGS4 isn't going to get a 10 from IGN. I can picture 9.5.
GTA IV is just that good
etownone, just quit it with your sour grapes. Yes PS3 owners do want the DLC. But it's not all that painful knowing MGS4 is just around the corner.
Yes but there hasn't been a 10 on IGN since 1999. Friggin 9 years. GTAIV is a behemoth. It single handedly topped everything in 2007.
just get the PS3 version. by June you'll forget about DLC. There's MGS4, LBP, SOCOM, Killzone 2, etc. etc. all those same titles PS3 fans are hyped about.
As much as I think i'm going to completely enjoy GTA4, i'd rather drop the $10 or $15 into another game.
BUT if you really really want to play the DLC, just do what I'm might do. Rent it on gamefly for the 360 or something in august.
in that generation, if graphics were really that important. then san andreas wouldn't have sold 12 million copies
Sour Grapes
I think Kojima is just going through one of those things where let's say you finish making something. You look at it later, and you feel like you could change it to make it better. And probably the more and more he plays the game or looks at certain levels, he probably feels he could have done better or changed something more to his liking.
But seriously, even if Kojima flat-out says he hates MGS4 and wishes he could re-do the whole game. Judging by his track record with MGS, MG...
Yes it's fake, but not everybody here knows about that particular RROD on that particular website. 360 fans are the ones that knows a RROD better than anyone.
Niko just punched Link, stole his horse, picked up Zelda and did the bad thing.
