This article would have fit perfectly in early 2007
I don't get why people keep thinking "Blurrier" looks more realistic. To me, the crispier and more detailed with the "right" amount of blur is what makes something look realistic. The left screenshots do look good, but lack the detail and sharpness to the right. And I gaurantee once people play this game on they're HDTV, they're going to appreciate the level of detail the game has.
I think Microsoft is doing good by making a 30% failure rate on purpose. They probably are trying to get our youth to go outside and play for 2-3 weeks while they don't have a 360. Yeah. That's it.
I still like how Microsoft gloats about the install base after releasing they're system a year before the competitors and then single handed got it's butt whooped by the Wii. Then go on to say the PS3 will be dead by Halo 3, and in a turn of fate is actually being outsold in 2008.
Didn't Kazunori Yamauchi state that eventually through more updates, it will become GT5 in the long run? So yes we'll pay $40 for now to get us in the door, but we won't have to pay a penny more for any updates. Right now they are in Spec II, cant wait for what Spec III's going to offer. Damage? More cars? More Tracks? Tuning Options? Weather Effects? Upgraded Graphics? It's all in the pipeline, as stated in previous reviews with Yamauchi-san.
Why does it really matter if one is "superior" over the other? I have to admit, I couldn't resist and watched the "leaked" videos and they all look pretty amazing to me gameplay-wise 360 or PS3. The GTA series has always been about gameplay first, graphics second. So there's just a retarded amount of emphasis on graphics for this game it's ridiculous!
As for me, I'm just gonna get the PS3 version cause most of my friends have PS3's and are cheap bastards who ...
I'm getting the Dreamcast version. That way, nobody will hate me. lol
Everything looks more detailed and more clearly defined, but the HDR lighting is definitely knocked down by a lot. Perhaps this is the lack of "motion-blending" Kojima was referring to? Nonetheless it looks excellent to me, and perhaps maybe too much HDR lighting will detract from a more realistic look.
3rd Person COD? If anybody can pull it off, it's Infinity Ward.
No, he's saying that the DLC could have potentially already been made while the game was being developed. And then taken out from the original game to be part of Microsoft's DLC.
And seriously, people need to stop the whole DLC arguement. Fact is, it's coming for 360 owners, and they can enjoy if they WANT. It's for those folks who truely want more GTA than anybody else and they'll have that option in August.
But for those who just don't care about DLC, then stop car...
Please put "Spoiler" in your post
How hard is it to choose a version folks? If you have a PS3, buy the PS3 version. If you have a 360, buy the 360 version. If you have both consoles, just buy the 360 one for the DLC. If you don't care about dropping money on DLC anyway, then just get the PS3 version.
That's it. Jeesze.
Once the game comes out, stop worrying about these stupid small minor inconceivable differences. Just play the game and enjoy GTA for what it's meant to be, a damn video game! And a k...
Yeah most people will buy GTA IV whether PS3 or 360, and probably play it for a long time. However, he forgot that PS3 owners are going to flock to buy MGS4, beat that, and then probably continue GTA IV. I know I am.
It actually looks pretty decent, and at least the game will run in 1080p. Definitely for Ferrari fans. And the rain effects at the end of the video does look pretty impressive.
Yes PS3 owners have something to play without worrying of Death.
It's all really up to MS if they want to do mods or not.
Chances are no.
Savings of 70 after tax? I don't know.
lol he's being sarcastic.
Actually 17.2, if you look at those "Bundles" people aren't really saving any money. But if you look at an official bundle, let's say MGS4 bundle. It's still the regular price point for the console, so in a sense MGS4 = $59.99 and DS3 = $54.99 and PS3 is only $405 which is a pretty good deal considering if people bought all of it separately or one of those retail "bundles" they'd be paying the same price for a 40gb with less features.
The 360 is like a living being. Each one has a birthdate, and each one is destined to die. Still waiting for my launch 360 to go next. I'm one of the lucky 66%
