I own both consoles, and the 360 owner in me is REALLY aggravated that MS hasn't been focusing on their own unique quality gaming experience. Obviously you could say Natal is just that, but frankly, I have absolutely no interest in any motion controls on any system. Personal opinion, yes, but it pisses me off that so many of MS' announcements have been turning PS3 exclusives into multiplats. Competition is supposed to make the industry thrive, yet when Sony gets an edge over MS, MS simply ...

Yeah, I'll give you that. Though I have to say, having lived in New Orleans over the past 4 years, I CANNOT WAIT to blast my way across Pontchartrain and into the French Quarter.

I think this won't stay exclusive. GTA didn't even stay exclusive on PS2. If the GTA DLC comes to the PS3, there's a very very good chance this will come to the 360 eventually.

On the other hand, Sony seems to have done a fantastic job holding onto MGS4 as a third-party exclusive. Though personally I think Kojima had a lot to do with that, and probably convinced Konami not to do it by agreeing to make a multiplat MGS.

I really hope Sony holds on to this one, thoug...

Why do they even sell the Arcade? They keep d!cking over arcade owners like this, it's really not cool. The only thing I can think of is so they can say their console is less expensive than the Wii.

See, this is how I felt about COD6. I dropped $60 for a WW2-themed map and weapon pack and a campaign that took me less than 4 hours to beat. But this should totally be DLC, or a half-price expansion or something. L4D1 didn't even offer enough content to be worth even the $50 of a PC game, DEFINITELY not the $60 of a significantly worse-looking 360. From the sound of it, if they had waited and put the content of the two games together, that's a $60/$50 value. This is a huge regression fr...

I know what you mean, although I still think it looks better than Uncharted 1, especially the lighting and explosions. And the textures, but it's hard to compare there because it's an urban environment and Drake's Fortune was almost all jungle.

I really hate seeing this compared to Gears of War. They came out a few months apart, do you really thing Naughty Dog saw Gears of War and decided to go through their game and add a cover system in the last few months of development? Uncharted is drastically different from Gears, the only similarities are 3rd person perspective, cover, and guns. That's it. The games feel and play completely different. I like the first Gears, but it appeals in a COMPLETELY different way than Uncharted. I...

You know, despite the fact that they're by far the two most popular stealth franchises around right now, I've never been able to compare Splinter Cell to Metal Gear. I love them both, but they're still SO different, even in terms of gameplay. Metal Gear appeals to me on an entirely different level than SC does, and frankly, I've never even paid attention to a single SC plot in any of the games thus far. This one certainly looks more interesting than the others, and will likely be much easi...

If he's calling it "not exclusive" because it's coming out for PC too, he's absolutely right. But he can't then turn around and call Alan Wake, Mass Effect, Left 4 Dead, and Splinter Cell Conviction (if it's indeed coming out for PC) 360 exclusives. That pisses me off more than anything in gaming journalism right now, nobody seems to give a rats @ss about the PC, despite how well PC gaming is doing based on every single study that comes out about it. Microsoft almost seems scared...

I remember hearing that about Payton too. Too bad Kojima shot down every single one of his ideas during MGS4.. but it's nice to see the stagnating Halo series getting a more diverse pedigree of developers. Hopefully this one will change things up a bit and make the core gameplay more interesting.

*yawn* I'm bored. You're boring Zoidberg.

Seriously though, it's really hard to be a 360 owner that hates Halo. You know that scene in the start of Resident Evil 5 where they shove that gross tentacle-y zombie ball down that guy's throat and his eyes start bleeding? Yeah.

In other opinions of mine that I impose on others via the comments section, Splinter Cell Conviction looks balls awesome.

I'm still really excited for rising. I was hoping they'd add a playable Raiden as DLC or something, this is potentially better, simply because the idea of an MGS hack n slash intrigues me. But it's good that we're getting a TRUE MGS stealth title as well, with what I think is an amazing premise and will finally clear up the few shady areas left in the MGS timeline in terms of Big Boss starting up Outer Heaven. I really can't wait for Peace Walker. I started up MGS4 again just out of pure ...

FINALLY!!!! I've been b!tching about this for so long, especially because you don't need 2 analog sticks with the RE4 scheme, it's PERFECT for psp. I'm SO happy about this.

WHAT!?!?!?!?!?

I get the impression that Kojima's stance is that he doesn't necessarily want this spin-off to be made (in GENERAL, not in reference to any specific console), but if it's going to be made anyway by Konami he'd rather get his hands in it and make it as good as possible. On the other hand, he's said that Raiden has always been his favorite MGS character. He's always expressed interest in working on the 360, but he's also said that he sees MGS as a Playstation franchise as he compared PS3 to a...

Since it's come to PC i'm all for it coming to PS3 as well, but this is just stupid. It's published by EA, and even if it was coming to PS3 it wouldn't have stopped MS from showing it if they wanted to/were allowed to. It's too abrupt for them to just up and release the 2nd one on PS3 without the first. I fully believe it'll come to PS3 eventually, but I have the feeling the full trilogy will come as a package at the release of ME3 or even after.

so it might just be me, but does anyone else remember bungie saying specifically that this wasn't a $60 game when they first announced it? not as an official price announcement, but a measure of content included?

Metric ton of glitches? Maybe it's just me, but I honestly haven't noticed any more glitches than GTA4, which is apparently the most polished game in the world according to the unnecessary number of perfect-10 reviews.

Has anyone had serious problems with glitches in infamous?

@1.6 - my gaming PC cost me the same price as my 360, exactly. granted, some of the parts were second hand, but it runs beautifully and the first mass effect looks so much better on my pc than my 360 that it makes me embarrassed that i bought my 360 solely for mass effect. if only they hadn't said it was "exclusive" to 360 so many times before launch.. silly me, clearly "exclusive" means one of the consoles as well as PC.

I think we'll have a 2-part game. Remember Kojima visiting infinity ward? Big Boss will be FPS, Raiden OR Fox will be an action ninja-gaiden like sequence. I think it'll cover BB creating outer heaven, and if that's Raiden, it'll ALSO cover (in a separate part/game) the Area 51 events. My theory, at least.
