New theory for a heartbreaking ending: the kid dies, but because the baby griffin accidentally kills him, like while they're playing or something, in sort of a lenny from of mice and men way. Then the baby griffin starts crying and we all start blubbering like we just began puberty.
Whoa, I'm sorry, but I just don't see how they could consider Assassin's Creed 2 to have better graphics than Uncharted 2, Conviction, God of War 3, or Alan Wake. It looks good, but even with the improvements, the graphical quality looks very close to the original, which is fine, but I don't see how it possibly could have beaten out other titles.
EDIT: also weird that they consider ME2 a multiplatform, but not Conviction. I did hear correctly, right? That Conviction is coming...
to his credit he's most definitely toned it down a lot. hopefully he realized he was making MS look worse by trying to set everyone on fire.
Not taking the bait, still getting it Steam.
I'm really glad he's making the next PSP MGS, and that there even is a new one to begin with. Portable Ops was awesome, and the fact that he had little to do with it other than keeping the plot in check gives me faith for Rising. I was hoping to get a playable cyborg ninja of some form.. though I think a game about gray fox would be way cooler than one about ninja raiden.
My guess is it will be his story of escaping Area 51 and retrieving a certain body.. but that doesn't mean there won't be any type of bad@ss bonus scenarios where you can re-enact those fights.
Worried a/b this game. The gameplay looks sweet, but the narrative has me concerned. I'm not a big fan of the TV-episode-style of plot progression, but I can live with it. What I'm really worried about is how, about 4 times in the MS conference demo, we hear his wife saying "Alan, wake up." He's searching for his wife, his recent book is coming true, and he cant find lost pages to figure out the ending? Sounds to me like it's very clear that he's in a coma, he's trying to get b...
I just assumed that the Reapers couldn't effectively communicate with organics, and that Saren's instructions were very basic, also that security was far too tight in the council room and they wouldn't even trust spectres enough to waltz in and activate a random terminal no one knows about.
It's possible that this really is a plot hole, but I think in regards to the overall trilogy, it won't matter too much. This hole would only pertain to the mini-arc of the first game, anyway.
Yeah, I bought my box in 07 specifically for Mass Effect. Then, after Bioware went out of their way to repeatedly and clearly state that there will NOT be a PC version, a better one comes out for PC 6 months later (better meaning higher resolutions, less texture pop-in, free bring down the sky, and a vastly improved inventory system). I was pretty angry. I spent $70 on the 360 Mass Effect + BDTS, and the same content comes out on a system I already owned for $50.
Anyone know of any PSP reviews for this? I know that pirates already have it in hand, I'm wondering if anyone knows how it is. Not that there's a particular shortage of PSP games on the horizon.
I guess I made the wrong choice in getting a 360 on top of a gaming PC. I feel like a 360 black sheep, I can't bring myself to like Halo or Gears (the first one was okay), and I just don't like racing games. With Mass Effect and L4D on PC (they're cheaper and they look better), I'm left with Fable 2 and Dead Rising, and though they're good, I got bored of them a long time ago.
I hate how a game comes out on one console + PC and it's considered exclusive to that console. I'm referring to both consoles here.. Mass Effect and Alan Wake aren't 360 exclusives, FF14 and the Agency aren't PS3 exclusives. Sony and MS clearly don't factor in PC when claiming games to be exclusive to their console. Greenberg went out of his way to say that FF14 isn't exclusive to PS3 because it's coming out for PC too, and now he's claiming L4D2 and SC Conviction are 360 exclusives. It'd...
Man, I remember watching those end videos for GOW2 and thinking to myself, "wouldn't it be cool if the PS3 god of war looked this good?" HA!
Now i need to enter a deep coma until march. Though October and November certainly seem worth waking up for..
It's true, it is a ripoff, but they're obviously trying to use it to make up some ground on the PS3 since they're losing money on it.
Meh, I already have a PSP, so I'm perfectly fine with the clusterf@ck of incredible-looking games coming out this fall and next year.
I swear I've read these same exact words on like 3 different websites.
he looks a lot like nate, there's been some theories that he's his brother
*drools at list*
This is the first review I've read that lines up with my view of the game. I tend to disagree with a lot of IGN's reviews (especially their Riddick one) but this is spot on in terms of my opinion of the game so far.
that's what i did with my friend when his beta key didn't work, and my other friend did that for me for the LBP beta. such an awesome little feature.
Plants in the sony crowd? Christ, come on. Seems like a pretty unnecessary accusation. I figured it was full of fans because wasn't their conference on the first day the public was allowed in? I could be wrong, but it's still an extreme accusation.
