I agree with 1.3. I'm truly baffled at how good of reviews this game is getting, I completely lost interest after a half an hour. In all fairness, the graphics can be good at times, and I'm impressed with how many characters they fit on the screen at once, but at other times the textures look like PS2 textures and the controls are undeniably sloppy. And I completely stopped caring about the plot after maybe 10 minutes. Completely. No interest.
I can't even compare it to infa...
There was one playthrough I saw of this demo where on the rooftop with all the enemies on it, Nate runs up to one of the guys and I was expecting a melee combo, but he just shoves him off instead. It was hilariously awesome.
Don't really get why so many PS3 fans are smearing this game, it's not even a 360 exclusive. I've been playing it on my 360 and I have to say, though, I really don't get how it's getting such good reviews. The only thing that's impressed me is how many animated characters can fill the screen at once. The whole introductory sequence to the story was a pain to watch/play through, and by the time things opened up I had completely lost interest. I think the controls are really sloppy and the ...

My guess on the MGS matter is that Konami wanted either MGS4 ported to the 360, or MGS5 to come out for both. Kojima probably struck a deal saying his studio would make a multiplat console game and a PSP game, and both would "equal" MGS5. I feel he did this because he wants the Snake story to remain with Sony, and he knew the only way Konami would do a Sony exclusive from this point forward would be for him to put it on the PSP, where the only thing it could possibly be ported to ...

It certainly seems unnecessary to tie this to the Castlevania universe, I feel like they had a very strong "Lords of Shadow" concept and Konami came in and said to make it Castlevania.
Still, this looks incredible, completely unrelated to whether or not it's in true Castlevania fashion. The gameplay looks awesome, it's OPEN WORLD, and the story seems very emotionally charged. It may not be a Castlevania game, but it looks like it's going to be fantastic on its own mer...
I'm glad to see a lot of these 2007-sequels are really expanding on their gameplay in natural and impressive ways. Mass Effect's changes are far more subtle than say, Uncharted, but if you go back to the first game after watching these videos you'll notice what an amazingly vast improvement it is. I'm so foxing excited for these games..
I think the Old Republic should be single player online. This way the player feels like they are making a true difference in the galaxy and guiding the course of the game themselves, and Bioware can continuously update with more branching stories and content. With so many people playing the same Old Republic, it's kind of hard to make each individual player feel like they're making a true difference in the dynamic of the game's universe.
Really? We're flame-warring over Ghostbusters?
Those are my exact GOTSs as well. God of War 3 is right up there, but I already knew it was going to be amazing, so it wasn't exactly shocking or anything. Uncharted 2 literally took my breath away.
Ya know, it's funny, we all knew there were going to be 2 hidden blades, yet when seeing it in action I couldn't help but sh!t my pants.
*takes pipe from giantenemycrab*
if there were something smokeable called "uncharted 2," i'd definitely smoke it.
It really really really sucks that only one of those 360 nominees is an exclusive.
EDIT: also, why were there only 3 PC nominees? What about everything else besides ODST in the 360 category? Or OLD REPUBLIC?? hello?
mmmm... mass effect 2.... *drools on self*
can i stick it in my bong and smoke it instead?

If I'm not mistaken, the Xbox people said that the 360 will be around until at least 2015, so that would mean that 2011 is not too late.
That doesn't stop MS from declaring this gen to be over in 2012 or something by releasing that new rumored console, the one where games will work on both the 360 and the new one, but look better on the new one.
We'll see. All I care about is the fact that the PS3 is not a failure, it didn't go Dreamcast, it's sold over 20 million a...
Man, you sure are on top of your sh!t lol. Good to see they picked him up, that means the idea can at least permeate into the project. Even simply applying that to an FPS would be amazing, and that's not taking into account the possible gameplay applications, like making a motion to trigger a melee attack or something.. and that's just for FPS games. I feel like it wouldn't be a stretch to do it with two players, either, like assign one head to one part of the split screen.
HAHAHA check out drake's face in that shot where Chloe and Elena are shaking hands
