Wait, is this the Tenchu PSP that already came out, or are they making a new one, a true Tenchu 3?
Nice! I've been looking forward to this one, despite having not played the first.
I don't think Cage would put anything in the game that would reward players for a 2nd run-through. I remember in an E3 video he said, while there's a ton of replay value obviously, he wishes that people would only play through once, so everyone has one definitive experience that is completely different from the next person.
I have a feeling I'll be playing this like 20 times though haha
GOOD
Please don't put trophies in this. PLEASE. I hate achievements and trophies, they pull me out of the experience with their little windows and sounds.. i hate it. For a game like this, dramatic and cinematic as it is, I'd hate to go through some intense emotional moment to have some piece of sh!t DA-DING! pop up and throw me off. It ruins immersion at a time when everyone in the industry is trying to get games and 'interactive media' to be taken seriously as an art form.
Fillion or North FTW.
Though I'm still COMPLETELY AGAINST this. There's no reason for them to make a movie for one of the most effectively cinematic games ever created. It's already at movie quality, only the narrative's more effective because you actually control Drake.
That said, it still has potential.. the first Tomb Raider movie wasn't bad (didn't see the second) although I don't know if that was even linked to any of the games.
lulz!
Coleman FTW!
Oh, and @bubbles, totally got your family guy joke there
NAAAAAAAAHHHHHHOOOOOOOOee!!!
You probably can't tell from the typing but that's supposed to be Calculon from Futurama's "no"
You know, I know that new Castlevania game doesn't really look like Castlevania or line up with the series and I know the series creator isn't involved, but I can't help being REALLY excited for it on its own merits. I'm definitely looking forward to it more than Rising.. but not Peace Walker.. no way.. when he announced Peace Walker I felt like a little girl who just got that pony she always wanted. You know, an another-MGS-on-PSP pony.
at least don't make mgS 5. Make a metal gear 3, or something. Or a Metal Gear [Somethingelse]. Peace Walker and Rising are fine as Solids because they contribute to the Solid storyline. I'd love to see more metal gear, just different metal gear.
And as much of a blind MGS fanboy that I am, Kojima's idea that he has for something that's "never been done before" intrigues me way more than a new MG game. He should go for it.
I love the XMB. Honestly, I have a lot of trouble finding features on my 360 since the mii update, the XMB is straightforward and simple and there's tons of themes you can use (or you can make your own) if you want something flashier. It'd be nice to see a more customizable XMB, where you can arrange icons or group things together or a whole bunch of stuff, but honestly, even if I could customize it however I wanted to, I'd still prefer it in the regular form.
Ugh, shut up. No one really loses these things. Except the Dreamcast. I guess if it never ever turns a profit then it'd be a loss.
That blows.. they can't just tell us one tiny thing about it? Why wouldn't they be able to? Buhh
"GamePro is more than just a little stoked about the immensely-promising Batman: Arkham Asylum for PS3 and Xbox 360"
also on PC.
Aside from that nitpicking and unnecessary call-out, I'm EXTREMELY excited about this game.
I'm guessing they don't want to shell out for 360 devkits until a publisher picks them up and does it for them, or that they simply don't have the money to shell out for the 360 kits. It makes sense that they have it running on PC, they're game developers, of course they already have PCs, and they would obviously make a PC version if they plan on moving it to 360 since it'll be really easy to set up once they have the dev kits.
Seriously?? People disagree that lighting is an integral part of noir?? You know 'film noir' literally translates to 'black film' in French. Even the more modern neo-noir films integrate color into the lighting style. Look at LA Confidential or even Blade Runner.. Blade Runner managed to pull of noir in a neon-dominated sci-fi L.A. yet Scott was still smart enough to integrate the bright and diverse colors into the style of noir cinematography. All of this can be fixed with a fancy post-p...
"Noir IS dark, moody lighting, shadows and saxophones. I'm sorry Barrera, but both seventy-plus years of cinema and myself are strongly disagreeing with your suspiciously "new and improved" definition of the visual style that made Max Payne such a refreshing experience."
freals, yo.
cmon folks, who looks more like solid snake than hugh jackman?
FINALLY they're getting off the POS unreal 3. this is good news, hopefully it'll mean more true 360 exclusives instead of them pushing everything over to the PC as well.. not holding out for that though.
He's really toned back the fanboy fuel lately, and I'd be lying if I said that my respect hasn't gone up for him. He's been a lot more focused on proving why the 360 is the best console available rather than proving why the PS3 is the worst console out there. That's definitely the right approach.
