No no no, call it what it is, COD6.
They can't take away the 'COD' label and in the same breath predict that this will be the highest-selling "Call of Duty" game ever.
I'm sure they won't use the same pricing structure as the 120gb.
1TB for the low low price of $950!
Thank god you can crack open that enclosure and install your own, rationally priced HD.
I always heard that COD4 was exactly the same (visually) on both consoles, and in some cases the multiplayer ran better on the PS3. I had COD4 for the 360 and tried 2 free months and the lag was disturbing, I had WaW for PS3 and never had any issues with network problems, but I only had it about a week because it's not worth $60 for a WW2-themed map and weapon pack. 4 hour campaign? How can Activision get a way with pricing that as a full game?
I had 2 free months of Gold, and all I did was play COD4 and the Red Faction beta. The lag was unbearable, even on my stable landline connection. I have a PC, PS3 and 360 and in all the online multiplayer I've ever played, Live was the worst. I guess my case is a rarity but to me, there's absolutely no reason to pay $40 for 13 months of network connections that are sh!ttier than my PC and PS3. Not THAT much sh!ttier, mind you, but completely unacceptable for a paid service. I had people ...
They're really f*cking this up, aren't they? I can't believe they would just ignore the 2nd game in the series like that. Which probably means that whenever we figure out exactly what happened to Revan (which will probably be a crappy little side-quest somewhere), it'll probably be disappointingly boring. KOTOR 2 provided so many interesting possibilities for Revan's true intentions, it really sucks that they just brushed all that aside to lay the ground for a money grab/MMO.
how come my copy of AC1 didn't look that good?
also you can use that time to get seriously baked and enjoy the game even more ;-)
but yes, opinions vary..
@piratethom
there's a way to use real HD's and hook them up to your 360, you have to take apart the HD enclosure for your 20gb but at least it doesn't void your 360 warranty, and you can pay a reasonable and rational price for a bigger HD. there's also ways to use a laptop as a wireless adapter instead of paying $70 or $90 for the xbox-specific one.. there's a lot of ways around MS' price-gouging with a little google-magic. also ways to fix the rrod.
I agree, I loved the MGS4 installs, which is weird when I think about it but it's true.
I only wish they gave you the option of installing all of the acts at once... my PS3 has a 300gb HD so obviously it wouldn't matter for me. It was frustrating when trying to show off some of the more amazing scenes from the game to my friends and having to wait for it to install each time I loaded a save. Then again, MGS games are clearly meant to be played start-to-finish.

Yeah, this game was pretty terrible. It still sucks that the 360 keeps losing exclusives this way, though.
Screw you guys, I'm proud to be a nerd.
*cries self to sleep*
My gaming rig cost me $300, minus the monitor which I already had. It runs games like Bioshock and ME infinitely better than my 360 does. It's not hard to make a gaming rig, you just need to take 30 minutes and research it. There's even video tutorials for how to put PCs together, it takes 15 minutes, you just have to put some effort into it. Consoles may be easier, but it's not that hard to get a gaming PC that'll run games a lot prettier for a comparable price.
Here's a use...
I really enjoyed the narrative in Bioshock. I'm not gonna claim that it's groundbreaking like so many people do, because it's not (System Shock???), but it's a good example of the path that 1st person narrative should take in games, where the protagonist really is YOU, you don't see him react because his reactions are your own. Like Gordan Freeman in Half Life. More games need to be doing this, there's way too many FPS games that sacrifice effective narrative by essentially being a 3rd per...
A lot of those ME1 shots are from the PC version, which looks a lot better than the 360 version, so it's not exactly a fair comparison. Though I'll admit that the ME2 shots look better, and since they're from the 360 build, I can only imagine how good it'll look on PC.
Yeah, Bioshock ran on a heavily modified Unreal 2.5, dunno about the sequel though. In OXM Hudson said that ME2 isn't using 100% Unreal 3 this time, and explains that that's how they were able to iron out the fra...
Am i the only one who thinks that Gears 1 looks better than Gears 2?
Isn't the Fallout 3 DLC coming this summer?

how funny would it be if internet culture existed back then? ha!
I find it funny that their calling Sony out has only exposed their own terrible lineup for this year. COD6 will probably be good, but I really don't care because they'll probably skim over the campaign like in 4 and amp up the multiplayer which I don't care about, and Starcraft 2 will be good but that's only PC/Mac anyway. Those were the only Acti- games I was gonna buy this year, and I can easily live with not buying COD6.
I hadn't planned on buying any of those anyway, and after this, rest assured that Activision can f*ck off. They're not getting a dime, now. They just know there's people waiting for that price to drop to jump on the PS3 and they want them to drop it before their precious COD6 comes out so they can beat Halo and GTA. Maybe they should stop making crappy guitar heroes and crappy tony hawks. Also I feel that there's more PS3 owners out there who have gaming PCs than there are 360 owners who ...
Damn, 10 year cycle, they weren't kidding.
