I bought my PS3 the day MGS4 came out.. and I definitely agree with you on this moving more than MGS did. Even the aging PS2 saw a significant sales spike for GOW2, and that was when the 360 was in heat. All wild and rambunctious, sneaking out every night.. now it's a little older and more experienced and its decided to settle down and have a baby (get it? Project NATAL!?!?! *slaps self*)
I agree this will move a lot of consoles for Sony. But they NEED TO ADVERTISE!!!!! I can't tell you how many commercials for multiplats I see that ONLY have the 360 logo afterward. The little *whooom* Jump In thing. I saw one for Fight Night 4 last night.. not even a tiny corner-of-the-screen logo for anything Sony. I remember Resi 5 commercials had the same thing. I don't think any PS3 owner would disagree that they're pissed at Valve for not putting their games on the machine. That's the issue here.

It really seems possible, those are some extremely fluid animations, especially for something that early in development. In the live chat Evan Wells mentioned Sony's internal database and how people will upload source code, etc, so it seems likely that they didn't completely waste this tech.

Oh man, I forgot about Deus Ex 3.. you know, it feels like each year I think to myself, how could next year POSSIBLY be better than this year? Yet each year it shapes up that way.. 2010 already looks epic.. think about the stuff that's going to come out that we don't even know about. I wonder if it'll top this year? Assuming the massive array of incredible-looking titles don't flop this fall/holiday.

Man this would be so awesome. My 80 has trouble emulating some games.. Jak 1 and Black are two that I never played last gen but bought after swapping my PS2 for the 3 and they don't do so hot.
