Yeah, unfortunately they did cancel 8 days for some reason.. but I remember that Syphon Filter rumor and I'm praying that it's true.

Oh man, seriously, I REALLY can't wait for a Syphon Filter PS3. Bend is totally capable, especially with an engine like this.. hell, the PSP Syphon Filters have been better than almost all 3rd person shooters this gen. I'm always surprised at how unique their objectives are.

If they do it, they should totally offer a control option where you strafe with L2/R2.. ah man, I lost so many hours of my middle-school life to those first 2 games..

We're starting to see it. Look at id tech 5, Rage will need 2 DVDs and Doom 4 will need 3, but it'll all be on one blu-ray. The tech just needs to evolve on its own terms.

You know, everyone on that twitter is saying concave so your fingers don't slip.. am I the only one who has less slippage issues on the PS3 controller than the 360 controller? I think it's the material more than anything, i think concave with the PS3 material would probably be ideal. Though I'm not sure how I feel about the offset analog sticks, and I really don't like the triggers despite the novelty that they are, it adds to my response time, I prefer the R1 and L1 on the PS3 controllers....

Remember folks, this is coming from the site that "leaked" MGS4's plot and claimed the Patriots were the Knights Templar.

It's not releasing on 9/11 in the US, and I'm pretty sure this is the exact reason why they're waiting until the 15th for the US version. I think accusing them of a PR stunt is too much.

Except the only chance MAG has in order to not get brushed under the competition this year is to be released before COD6, if they can't make that deadline, they should definitely wait and keep polishing. Finding a mid-point between the COD6 and Bioshock 2 releases is probably their best bet.

You've gotta be focking kidding me. Go ahead, make a game set in New Orleans that has absolutely no black people. Really, do it. It'll make tons of sense. Especially in the french quarter. And the katrina connection? Come on. I've lived in New Orleans the past 4 years, the city has become my home and I can't wait to play this game. No part of me is thinking "oh, Katrina, maybe this is a bit too insensitive." Sh!t, when this was announced I showed one of my friends who's bla...

GOOD. I'm always so confused when EVERY multiplatform commercial I see ONLY has the 360 logo at the end.

8-10 hours for one playthrough isn't bad, especially when your next playthrough will be completely different. COD5 took me 4 hours to beat, I can't believe I gave activision $60 for a WW2-themed weapon and map pack. Also Cage keeps going out of his way to remind people that this isn't a "game" so much as an interactive narrative, it's goal is more of an interactive movie than a game. It's interesting that he didn't get that out of the interview he read, he only seemed to focus on...

I agree that 360 needs more true exclusives, but when we know they already have the game running on PC, and a superior version of the game at that, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I have a feeling we'll be hearing about the PC version about 6-12 months after it releases for 360.

Crescent City? ...New Orleans?? The landscape looks way too unlike the Gulf coast though, even if there was some kind of apocalypse that made the water dry out. Everything seems to point to the American west.

Like the author, I get the fallout vibe too, but not at ALL the fallout 3 vibe. The tone feels like the original fallouts, also in the american west.

That's what I've been saying about games in general... look at this July.. there's NOTHING. Yet all the high school kids are out of school and working, making money that they want to spend right away, but there's no big game releases. If you dropped a AAA title in July I feel it would sell well.

Yeah but I have the feeling nothing too big will come out before GOW3. Having Heavy Rain release in say January would be a smart move, there's not much coming out, people are burnt out on the more typical games of the holiday season, it's a great time to try something new. Also I have the feeling that all those Take-Two games won't be coming out in January.. possibly February, but probably not January. I just hope that they can successfully market this as "interactive media" more...

yeah I'm really surprised Dunia and Cryengine aren't on here. I know it's a console list though, and Cryengine 3 hasn't been used in any currently released games since it's so new, but Dunia seems to run fantastically on consoles as well as PC.

It's their own in-house engine, though I'm not sure if it's a highly upgraded version of the PS2 mgs engine or a new one altogether. I'd love to see it used in more games, but I don't know how likely that is since they're building a new engine from scratch for Rising.
