Oh look, now COD6 is crying backstage. You ass. It's okay though, Beyonce is gonna let her finish her speech when she accepts her award.
New Orleans is NOT on the East coast by any definition of anything.
Dirty coast FTW baby.
I think I remember hearing the L4D2 campaigns start on the east coast, in like Georgia, so maybe that's what he's referring to.
lol I think it's funny too. Some of these collector's editions are just ridiculous. Nightvision goggles, I mean what's next? Bioshock 2 CE bundled with an actual Little Sister? I also liked Bioware's parody, that was pretty funny haha.
major lulz @ "Bobby Kotick's signature, also written in the queen's blood"
In the words of the MGS1 VR missions, "Impressive, Snake."
God I'm a nerd.
@Timesplitter14
I think something like Killer 7 would fall into the "Clockwork Orange" category of gaming, lol
@deadreckoning
As much as I LOVE metal gear, even I'll admit that Metal Gear online was pretty much terrible. Personally, I just don't think the gameplay lends itself to multiplayer very well. It takes a LOT for me to enjoy online multiplayer, I'm just really not into it, and I find that even when I'm doing really well and kicking a lot of ass in games like COD4, I'm STILL not having fun.
The Uncharted 2 beta, however, is different for me. It's a TON of fun. 99% ...
Thanks for the apology.
Admittedly, it WAS a little biased. Like I said, I made a tasteless comment. To be perfectly honest, I was being misleading: what he referred to as "useless" was the campaign itself, and I'll admit that we both had fun playing firefight.
Lessons learned, hugs all around.
edit: Though I have to say, coming from him, I thought it was really weird that he disliked the campaign so much. I wasn't into it either way, but I ...
I think they're very different and hard to compare, but I have the feeling Uncharted 2 will have more massive set-pieces and more "active cinematic" moments like the microwave scene in MGS4 or the building collapsing in the U2 E3 demo.
But, like I always say, I'm a shameless MGS fanboy and deep within my heart I'll never be able to admit I like a game more than MGS4. It may be a BETTER game, only time will tell, but the MGS series will never lose that special place in ...
It's a little noir-ish, like they say in the article. I'm glad they went that route instead of the typical music you hear in games during night-time sneaking ops, that sort of ominous brooding stuff. The noir style not only fits the mood better, it helps CREATE the mood. Good stuff.
I definitely think ODST has the best soundtrack out of all the games. I was expecting the same stuff as the last 3 games but was pleasantly surprised at how unique it was. Though I'll admit I REALLY liked the Incubus stuff on the Halo 2 soundtrack, I bought it just for that 25-minute piece (that they unfortunately split up into 4 tracks over the course of the album).
Thanks.
Seriously, why do you have to stoop to personal insults? This is why this site gets such a bad rap. I'll admit my comment was a little tasteless, personally I don't like Halo though I've played all of them but Halo Wars and I DO understand why people like the series, and I'm sorry for implying that everyone else should share my opinion. But jesus, cmon.
I agree that MGS4 is visually ahead of U1. Whenever I play MGS4 I'm insanely impressed by the anti-aliasing, there's almost NO jaggies, which is even more impressive considering PS3 is supposed to be bad with anti-aliasing.
What I'm curious about is if GOW3 will actually hit the 1080p native, 60fps goldmine they were claiming it would. Considering the devs have been very silent on that for a long time, I'm guessing it won't. Here's hoping for at least 720p + 60fps.
lol ah, it's all in good fun. They were pretty damn determined not to repeat it with blu ray though.
Dude it's a Sony exclusive. You're only gonna find it on betamax.
Demon's Souls does look f**king awesome.
@Shadow Haze
I agree, God of War is an awesome hardcore experience, especially on the harder difficulties. Mainly because the kill animations are SO satisfying and rewarding. There's nothing like getting your ass kicked by a boss over and over and over and over and getting extremely pissed off and screaming at your TV and FINALLY you beat them and Kratos knocks out some ridiculously over the top kill animation that you could...
As a self-described shameless metal gear fanboy, I literally just threw up in my mouth a little.
HAHAHAHA ahhh man that was hilarious
FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
See, they say the controller is less responsive this time, which may be true in the technical tests, but it just FEELS so much more responsive than U1. Last night I kept switching between U1 and the U2 beta, and the aiming is just so much smoother and feels more responsive in 2. So it may take longer for control inputs to process, but it's so much easier to get shots off for me in the beta. And frankly, if the co-op is any indication, I'm simply BETTER at Uncharted 2 than I am at U1. If t...
I think Hugh Jackman is probably the best bet.
In regards to the article, though, absolutely none of this is new news
