Don't hold me to this, but I'm pretty sure it's a preorder bonus. We all know how much EA loves their preorder bonuses.
The graphics are apparently in alpha (even though it's called a "beta") so expect some pretty substantial improvements by the time it launches.
...i think
Ha, and they'll probly end up getting praised for how small they managed to make the "map pack" and how quickly it downloads and installs.
If you pirate it on PC, you can play it online on IWnet easy. It's kind of embarrassing how easily it was cracked, and how they didn't even need to make a workaround for it. With other games you have to go through a process to get onto cracked servers, but if you look at the torrents for cod6 right now, all they did was mess with a few files and suddenly anyone can play. I thought the whole point of not having ded servers to curb things like this?
Anyway, the point I was getti...
I'm seriously, seriously impressed. Even after watching those awesome videos I didn't think it'd be this good. I've never been legitimately excited for the multiplayer aspect of a game, but I really can't wait until I get my hands on the final game. They aren't fu@king around, this is some incredible multiplayer.
Yeah, but there are scenes like that all the time in movies. It won't be a big deal because it's now in a passive and watchable form instead of an interactive form. It's no longer training children to be terrorists, or however they like to sensationalize it on the news.
You can already do that sh!t through the web browser.
I just assumed their subscription plan would be for free access to certain PSN and PS1 titles after paying a monthly or annual subscription fee. Qore already throws some PS1 and PSN titles at subscribers for free every now and then, maybe it's some kind of extension of that. I'm sure it'd include access to premium and dynamic themes without having to buy them, and they'll probably have another plan that includes some type of video subscription for the video store. They should definitely of...
Oooooh so they just GUESS what wal-mart as sold. That makes sense. So for november, for example, we'll have no way of knowing what kind of impact that arcade + $100 deal ACTUALLY had on the US market?
You guys want to start a market research firm with me? It'll be fun, we'll just sit around and smoke weed and once a month we'll guess what each console and piece of software has sold. The best part is, thousands of people will trust what we say and bicker for weeks about it in ...
Does robert bowling's face make anyone else angry, too?
I'm sorry, but Infinity Ward should NOT be up for best developer after their abortion of a PC version. Say what you will about the game itself, but from a developer standpoint, they completely backhanded their longest standing fanbase. And now we're hearing about how IWnet has a trojan? PSN is run by Sony, Live is run by Microsoft, but IWnet is all them. And it clearly doesn't work the way it's supposed to, we've all seen the videos of the hacks.
And let me just say, not havi...
w00t got it! This is the first time I've ever gotten a beta key through a website giveaway.
Is it too unfair to use Uncharted 2 as a counter argument? The single-player was the best campaign I've played in years, and the multiplayer is definitely up there with the best of them on console.
Halo 3 and the Gears games were all disappointments for me, then again, I'm not willing to shell out money for the ability to play online, especially when I have a PC that can get better connections for free. And a PS3, which can get equal connections for free. So I was left with only the ...
I honestly don't know. We watched all of them.
VIDEO ads? I honestly thought this article was a joke when I started reading it. If it ends up being as intrusive as it sounds, I'll probably actively go out of my way to avoid buying the products advertised in the game. Cuz, ya know, they'll totally notice and care if I do that.
It's at least worth a rental. My friend and I spent the other night trading off on his hacked 360, suddenly the sun was coming up and we had both OD'd on awesomeness. There's a ton to do, the side missions are all awesome and there's none of that "do at least 5 tasks, then kill this dude" bullsh!t. I'm pretty addicted to it, I've been trying to get back over to his place but our schedules aren't working out.. the point is, I'm DEFINITELY picking this up on tuesday (for PS3 so I c...
Is this an article or an advertisement?
***spoilers for COD6, obviously***
I didn't get the impression that Shepherd was working together with Makarov. I still don't really get why Shepherd betrayed "you," and the more I think about it and try to make sense of it the less I understand it. Simply so more people would fight in the army and that he could take credit for retrieving all the intel 141 found? I feel like Shepherd's plot twist served more to extend the story into another game than anything else. For me,...
lol, classic.
My only real complaints are that the map seems a little sniper-friendly, and that sometimes the characters blend into the environment a little too well. Yeah, everyone's wearing camo, but sometimes I can't tell if something in the distance is an enemy or just an object in the environment. The latter is probably more a resolution issue than anything, and since I'm getting it on PC, it should be fine.
But I'm loving it. I'm really not a fan of online multi, but every time I join...
