psm3 throws around the word 'exclusive' like a cheap hooker. it's just their preview for next month.
i dunno, they're both network subscriptions so it makes sense to compare them, but i feel like ps plus and xbl gold are very different services as well as business models. with gold you're paying for features, but with ps plus you're paying for content. i can see why a lot of people would see ps plus as pointless, but for someone like me who spends a lot of money in the ps store, it's a fantastic service. if ps plus had been a feature of the ps3 from launch, and you could o...
they should remake the genesis shadowrun on the current gen of consoles, i'd love that.
also, question for anyone: what was the difference between the genesis shadowrun and the snes shadowrun? i remember hearing that the snes version was more like an action/shooter while the genesis is more like an rpg? i'm only familiar with the genesis version
gotta love how gamesthirst spins that quote into flamebait
hasn't this already been developed?
"VP of sharpening things"
lol
ahhhhh please please please please please please please
they should do a sequel to the genesis game, an action-rpg with dialog choices where you balance weapons, cyber powers and magic powers. that game was amazing.
yeah, the engine is showing some serious, serious age. but personally, i'm not going to let that cloud my judgment of the game. it's obsidian, and for a lot of those guys, fallout is their baby. i'm gonna let the story and the characters take the reins.
what i'm hoping, though, is that bethesda tosses out their dated engine and just starts using id tech 5 now that id is owned by the same company. let bethesda focus on crafting their worlds, and all that ef...
i think the fact that they have to pick a specific plotline (obviously, since it's a film) undermines interactive entertainment as a medium. the point of heavy rain was to forge your own plot progression, and creating a film adaptation shuns this completely.
not that it can't be good, but i think they need to stop making games for every movie and movies for every game and let the two media evolve on their own. fingers crossed that the shadow of the colossus movie ne...
how is mgs4's native resolution 'sub-HD'? if we're defining 'HD' as x720, wouldn't a native vertical of x768 be above 'HD'? or am i missing something more complicated, since the native aspect ratio is 4:3?
it's being released over a year after U2, i should hope it'd stack up in SOME way. then again, it's been over 6 months since U2 and i still don't think it's been topped on console. god of war 3 looked better at its best moments, that's for sure, but uncharted 2 was much more consistent.
i played the first few levels. it was enjoyable, although this seems different in every possible way but the dead-eye. i know the stories aren't even linked. i think rockstar just had the IP lying around since they acquired it from capcom.
WOOF. if they actually charge that much it's a death wish.
i think that this person is jumping to an extreme conclusion waaaay too early. we still have no idea how they're going to portray US soldiers or enemy soldiers. from the last trailer with the answering machine, they seem to be taking a much more sensible approach than other shooters that puss out of creating a fictional story within real, current events by changing the 'al-queda' party to 'some russian extremists'. only time will tell i suppose.
they hit their target, nice
man, i remember MAKING text adventures in my computer class in like 1st grade. we had these archaic apple computers and the only thing anyone enjoyed doing was playing the text adventure game that came on it. so our teacher told us how to make them, it was really simple (obviously, since a first grader could do it). I remember mine was in the sonic universe and used all the characters from the comic books / saturday morning cartoon (the serious anime-like one). I wish i still had that in ...

I agree with his serious concern about the motion control craze. Imagine if all the thought, effort, and money spent on motion control was spent on improving AI instead, to create actual thinking characters that interact and react with astounding realism to flesh out constantly evolving game worlds. But I guess that's not nearly as profitable. Le sigh.
I used to be platform-jewish, but lately I've become really jaded and I went platform-atheist.
