bots ftw
not big on online multi, but i've always loved bots and always wanted more of them in modern games. maybe that's weird these days but i dont care haha
holy f&@king balls that looks awesome.. were those illium traffic sequences gameplay??
i dunno, portal 2 is looking pretty good.
i think the point of the source engine is that it's not just one "engine" but a patchwork of tools that all come together to create the game. they can upgrade each tool at any time, like how they focused almost solely on AI for the left 4 dead games. i do think we'll see some hefty upgrades whenever the next half life entry (ep 3 or hl3, whichever) is shown off, hopefully stuff like ray tracing and tessellation and all thos...
is it just me or are these updates coming later in the evening each week?
lol @ pachter pic
i DO remember him predicting this though
hey, she's gotta reward you for finding the shadow broker somehow...
im pretty sure the game is meant as a satire on stuff that tries to do that
this looks f**king awesome. i remained faithful to liara, so this is good news to me.
*speculation that may be a spoiler?*
that one screen shot looks a lot like the inside of a reaper. could that be his lair? unlikely that the shadow broker IS a reaper, since in redemption harbinger was doing business with the broker. interesting nonetheless.
it's important to remember that lucasarts only gave them a year to make kotor 2
yeah but i'd gladly pay the extra $10 for the ps3 disc version if steamplay let me download a copy to my PC. especially for co-op-- i have people on both pc and ps3 that i'd play the hell out of co-op with.
have you played the first two games? personally, i LOVE the music in those two. but i'll admit, especially after such a sweet soundtrack in the early games, the music in fallout 3 did feel really out of place.
edit: seriously, i'm just recalling my recent playthrough of fallout 2, the music does such a good job of establishing the mood. it may be a little repetitive but it's got this dark industrial groove to it that just fits the dark vibe of the world perfectly.
they threw obsidian the same engine they used for fallout 3, what do people really expect here? it's not like bethesda is making upgrades to it, they're clearly gonna be using id tech 5 for their future projects. and it's not like a treyarch situation where it's been in development since before fallout 3 was out, they didn't offer obsidian the project until sometime in early 2009.
oh man, steam play with ps3 inclusion would be so f**king sweet
he doesn't have to have hair to be cole, as long as they make the face look like cole from the first game they can give him hair if they want.
i think the biggest thing that tarnishes the idea of infinite right now is bioshock 2. imagine if they hadn't cashed in on the first game with bioshock 2 and had waited all this time to announce the successor to bioshock; this. people would've been way more excited, i think. looking at all the bioshock infinite stuff really makes bioshock "2" feel even more like a cash-in. oh well.
I consider myself a Playstation fanboy, but most of the 360's exclusives really don't interest me. However, in terms of games that simply aren't on the PS3, the Mass Effect series may be my favorite series that's come out of this generation. Not an exclusive, but Mass Effect 2 is definitely my favorite game of 2010 so far. The first Mass Effect is actually the reason I bought my 360, since Bioware swore up and down that it'd never go to PC. Imagine how pissed I was whe...
This game looks so awesome
ugh, i hate when they don't recognize that obsidian is developing.
i'm expecting a much better main story and much more interesting characters. obsidian may not have the greatest track record, but i'm always rooting for them, and fallout is kind of their baby since a lot of these guys came from black isle. with a fully-functional game engine up and running (as aged as it may be) and with a lot of settings and ideas already established from van buren, i think these guys h...
Those tapes that eva sends in Peace Walker are amazing
probably because it's marketed toward males more than females. i think it all goes back to the perception that gamers are almost exclusively male, even though the last statistic i heard said that something like 40% of gamers are female.
fem shep is awesome, i'm totally a convert. i started as male since i'm a guy, but after playing as female, it's hard to go back. the voice acting is top notch. it really makes you realize how much male shep sounds like he's reci...
