That's what I thought, I was confused because I saw a preview for Of the End that was mistakenly labeled as Yakuza 4. I'll definitely be getting Yakuza 4 then.
i played mine yesterday, just beat ghost of sparta. SNAP!
is yakuza 4 the same as 'of the end'?
okay, am i crazy or is the EXACT same trailer they showed at quakecon like 2 years ago but with a Bethesda logo instead of an EA logo?

these are drastically different products. sure, nintendo is opening their arms back up to their hardcore fans, but the ngp/psp2 feels like a freaking love letter to sony's hardcore fans. people say the same thing about the last round of portables, how the psp got destroyed by the ds. yes, the ds sold more, but i read an article yesterday saying that the psp has sold 64 million units worldwide-- by no measure is that a failure. you don't have to sell more than the competition to be...
exclusive announcement of a future announcement of an exclusive reveal to announce an exclusive announcement!
god dammit, just when i bought the thing on steam's sale the other day...
unfortunately we're only just starting to see games take advantage of dx11 tech, and even dx10 tech which has been around for 3 years. i recently upgraded to windows 7, and you see a world of difference in the jump from dx9 to 11 in games like metro 2033 and aliens vs predator. other games use the tech to an extremely minimal extent-- bad company 2, for instance, looks way better than on console but there's only a small difference in lighting when going from dx9 to 11. some games a...
i guess it's possible that if there were a lot of big announcements, they'd be worried about it getting lost in the fold. gears is a big game for them, they probably want a quieter event so that it'd get more attention.
eh, 4th-5th grade. i was gonna say "SE-GAAA" reminds me of childhood, but that wasn't a console boot. then middle school was dominated by the dreamcast boot.
the ps1 boot reminds me of childhood
the decision with the quarians seems to be a big lead-in to this, too. also the condition you leave the council in
i figured that'd be the gist of ME3, that you'd have to go around gathering armies in a similar fashion to how you picked up squad members in 2.
great list, but fallout 1 definitely should've been on there.
as much as i like independent developers, i would love to see this. obsidian with id tech 5 (and access to tech support from id), a good budget, and a well-paced development calender could put out some extremely impressive stuff. especially if they were given access to the fallout IP without any obligation to follow the template of bethesda's fallout 3.
im thinking french revolution
good year for pc games. it's nice to see more developers starting to work their way toward dx11, i'm getting windows 7 in the mail soon so i'm pretty excited to see the difference in games like metro and bad company 2.
i blame the publishers. even if they don't put their foot down on a deadline, if they see a developer hand in a 'finished' game to them that's extremely buggy, they should be the ones to say "no, it's not done, you need to keep polishing." ultimately the decision to release comes down to the publisher, and if a game is broken, they should make the developer keep fixing it.
though it seems more likely that the developers, the ones who poured the...
yeah, i think people are nervous to upgrade to 7 because of vista's horror stories. i'm still on xp right now but i plan on going to 7 as soon as a find a good deal on the pro x64 version.
it really is, it's amazing what ready at dawn can squeeze out of that piece of hardware. and they really know how to make good god of war games. their additions to the formula felt really organic.. honestly, i may have liked it more than god of war 3. i'll have to let it sink in a bit before i decide.
