I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo stopped making game consoles and just continued making handhelds instead. I don't see them ever making a true next generation console that can compete with Sony and Microsoft. Their vision is just a lot different than anyone else. They are also unlikely to ever be a 3rd party software maker. Their whole emphasis has always been to make games that are tailored around the hardware. This is why we keep seeing Zelda, Mario and other familiar franchises....
This is where the industry keeps failing at, region-locking. I say put a BIG warning on it saying this game may not have subtitles or your preferred language and offer no refunds. Let the consumer decide if they want to play imported games but make them playable.
It still doesn't constitute piracy.

I think a pulsating rumble effect would be better than a green to red light source. My eyes are more focued on the screen than the controller. The Playstation Move is a bit different in the way you hold it so the ball is easier to see. I do think that different colors makes it easier to distinguish which controller is whose.
Who cares if they are using the same engine, it's not the same game. You don't need to have new engines every time you make a new game. It still runs at 60fps unlike most games and the graphics have improved because they have tweaked the engine and know the hardware better so that they can develop more efficiently.
This is why we buy new hardware, to get that leap in graphics and capabilities. I can't believe some are whining about how Call of Duty looks.

If they call it Fusion some people will say Infinity sounds better. If they call it Infinity some will say just Xbox is better. The fact is people will disagree about anything here.
I will say this, Xbox 720 is the stupidest name there is.
It's usually the case with any new system. Limited software, first run titles that usually don't take full advantage of the hardware yet. Gimmicks trying to support new controllers. Online issues. Hardware issues, Prices for hardware are at their highest.

Some people actually believe that since theres is a new Call of Duty game every year that they only make it like they do for games like Madden. That simply isn't true. They have multiple teams making it so it's really a two year cycle to create each one.

I would think the majority of console gamers either don't care or notice the difference in audio quality going from DTS Master to DD 5.1. Most people don't even care about ITunes music quality and AAC compared to lossless codecs like WAVE and flac.
As I said, the PS3 game does not benefit much by being on one disc anyways. It must have a partial install that takes awhile and in-between chapters there are also long loading times. You could easily swap discs much faster...
The difference is, Neonridr, the PS3 and Xbox 360 probably have a lot more people online than the Wii U. It will hurt Nintendo more because they are still struggling to get 3rd party support, this will just add to the resistance of them releasing games on it. It took years on the PS3 to crack and even now it's probably very minimal. The Xbox 360's secret weapon is the huge popularity of Xbox Live. I hope it's not the last great game on current systems. GT6 is also rumored to come out in November for the PS3. They shouldn't just drop support all of the sudden when there are over 200 million systems out there counting the Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3. It takes time for consumers to move on as well. I expect after the Christmas season of 2014 we will see a significant drop in support for all of them. I think it's already happening on the Wii.
Halo and Mario 64 sold consoles. A new 3D Mario game will also help sell the Wii U.

Make good JRPG's and Western gamers along with Western reviewers will stop having a problem with them.
It would actually likely be 3 or 4 discs, not 7 like Hayter said. It also wouldn't be an issue swapping discs as the PS3 version wasn't seamless from chapter to chapter either. You had long waits in-between and going back to previous chapters wasn't very easy either.

Anyone who thinks there will be 10 exclusives at launch are very very optimistic. I can see either PGR5 or a new Forza game, not both. I can see maybe 1 or 2 games from Rare. Perhaps Ryse and maybe that game from Black Tusk. They are likely to spread them out more. Alan Wake 2 would probably be in 2014.

I say scrap it and start over. Offer a new unique challenge system that shows off your achievements and make it so it has more credibility and value to other gamers who view it.
