Well he is kind of right. We do hear about some of the success stories and breakthrough games like Minecraft, Braid, Fez, Limbo, Super Meat Boy and Bastion. But there's no doubt a lot of crap out there too.

Should there be a better standard of quality? Should the community or platform holder decide whether to greenlight a game or not? It's really hard to do. One mans treasure is another mans garbage.

It said they moderated their avatar to make it blue. Xbox Live is very strict on modding.

I would like to see better moderating. I think with the ability to record and things like the share button coming for the PS4 it will provide better accuracy for proving/or disproving offenses.

A lot of gamers simply need to grow up and realize they are playing with others who may not like what they are doing. This isn't a case of freedom of speech, you must adhere t...

I totally agree and don't worry about the disagrees. Some people obviously take offense to your games you listed even though it's true. If a game is scheduled to come out in a year then show it off. Don't show CGI trailers or just a logo like The Agent so that you hope people are talking about your system. Don't show demonstrations like Milo that never materialize.

I want to see real gameplay. I also want to see more accountability...

That's why I don't ask them anything other than if they have something in stock. Many of them are simply clueless and a few are raging fanboys that give out false information.

No but it certainly doesn't hurt regardless of how many advocate against the company. They still release lots of games and some are pretty big like FIFA. The Dreamcast felt it not having them. They are still one of the biggest publishers out there.

From the article'
"The truth is, buzz is one thing, purchase intent is another," said Pachter "I don't think anyone is buying any of these boxes until they see them and they see the price."

Not according to many here on N4G. They likely already picked a winner for E3 as well.

Just like cross-game voice chat being a feature some like I imagine some may like this too. Same with the share button on the PS4. This is all to create a more social experience. We now live in a world where most devices that can access the internet now have Facebook. Skype also serves to millions and millions of customers.

Killer app? Not really, but it could be a complimentary feature many will enjoy having.

It does make sense to have it on the PS3. You're pretty much guaranteed at least 5 million sales, if not double that or even more. They also want to take their time on the new hardware and with Drive Club coming 2 is a crowd. Why smother a new ip like that? You also want to build some hype for the PS4 with huge titles in years to come. This is probably their biggest exclusive.

I would love to see it on the PS4 as a launch game but I tend to agree, it makes more sense on t...

Looks cool but I have my doubts. Didn't they already say it won't have CD playback? Then why is there a CD logo?

Sony is also unlikely to just put a video out there when we know they want it to be unveiled at E3. Unless of course they want to somehow disrupt the Xbox show next week. It's probably from a Sony fan who's trying to make sure the PS4 doesn't lose hype while everyone waits to see what Microsoft shows.

I liked the PS4 event. I thought it brought some excitement to an otherwise stagnant time in console gaming. The Wii U just hasn't intrigued too many people and the PS3 and Xbox 360 have been around for what has seemed like forever.

It created a lot of buzz and took away the doom and gloom articles (for a short time) about the Vita. It also helped Sony who's had it rough financially that showed they are on the right track. Most of all it still showed commitment to gam...

Sad but very true.

I'm not the one advocating for timed exclusive games on one platform and then flip-flopping when it comes to a competing system. I'm also not pushing the goal posts further and further while the debate goes on. That's twice now you've responded and still ignored Destiny having exclusive content on the PS4 and being an Activision game. Or is that irrelevant because you say so?

According to you Activision loves money more than anyone even though they have signed...

So it would be huge for Sony but COD: Ghosts on the next Xbox not so huge? Got it. Oh and Rockstar doesn't want money but only Activision? Got it. You're right, the DLC for GTA IV was free and a gesture on their part. Otherwise Rockstar cares less about money than Activision.

Of course this is all relevant. It's about 3rd party publishers making exclusive deals in the past and moving forward. You also neglected to mention Destiny, a title that Activision is also b...

Didn't you also advocate for GTA V to be timed exclusive on the PS4? People should either be against timed exclusive deals or for them. Not pick and choose because they like one company more than the other.

If Activision loves money then why are they doing exclusive stuff for the PS4 and Destiny? See, being biased doesn't always give reasonable messages on forums.

You guys are taking all of this way too personal. Tretton badmouthed the 3DS, Kutaragi badmouthed the Xbox 360, Greenberg has badmouthed the PS3. Who cares? Does this stuff really bother you people? It doesn't change one iota of how much I enjoy my systems. If they want to be immature about them let 'em. If they feel attack ads work then go for it.

But I do agree, Major Nelson has put extra pressure now on Microsoft to actually show the system. He did make a semi-sarc...

The game is being scaled back for current generation consoles. That's how it should be done. Don't make games for the lowest common denominator, make them for the PC and scale it back and push the hardware on each system it's on. Watch Dogs will run on current hardware, it just won't have the same density or look as good. That's normal. We've already witnessed that throughout this generation with the Wii usually getting the lowest scaled version, the Xbox 360 and PS3 b...

Sony can't afford a slow start. They need the PS4 to do well right from the start. So if they price it too high (anything above $399) they may get themselves in trouble.

We have seen the slow growth of the Playstation Vita and the poor performance of the Wii U. Both Sony and Microsoft may have a tough time with their new consoles as well. The market is different than it was when the Xbox 360 and PS3 came out. So far there's lot of buzz about the PS4 so we'll have ...

Hopefully they can find a way to port it to the PS4 quickly and tweak it to take advantage of the better hardware.

4781d ago 4 agree1 disagreeView comment

It kind of sucks though. They take way too long to make games so this means we will likely not see a PS4 game from them until at least 2016.

AedanClarke,

I didn't say you were. Sorry if I implied that. However your comments suggest that you share that same mentality. I don't think anyone would go to a theater dressed up as the Joker and people running for their lives because he's carrying a pillow. There's no reason to have those types of guns period. They are designed for a purpose and can kill a lot of people quickly. A crowd can defend themselves against a printer. That was terrible logic.
