Who cares if Media Molecule created this genre first (which I highly doubt they did because there were probably games that allow you to build your own levels before). Sparx brought it to the next level. Sony doesn't own the patent to that genre.
Ryse I'm still not very convinced at. I don't like games with QTE in them and basically run sequences themselves. I think some games are just too easy. Even games like Call of Duty in the past have a very narrow linear wor...
@Marcus Fenix,
Funny how you mention especially the PS4 when Killzone: Shadow Fall has already been confirmed to be 30fps. Forza 5 on the Xbox One has been confirmed to be 1080p and 60fps. I expect this generation to be a lot like last generation where it will be a game by game basis especially for frame rates. 1080p @60fps is ideal but some developers still insist on 30fps. All games should be mandatory 1080p native.

Microsoft needs to address indie developers differently and be more supportive. That is where the original ideas and creativity stem from the most. Instead it seems like they want games like Limbo that they believe will become hits. A lot of indie developers just love to create games for the love of it and don't necessarily care about becoming millionaires.
Lots of disagrees? I guess people don't like the convenience of having games on their hard drive for easy access. Or did I get disagrees for showing that the Xbox One supports external hard drives? It must be because I'm not bashing the system.
So I get a disagree for quoting an article by the same person who gave me the link? Interesting.
Don't worry dcbronco, those goal posts are not stationary. They can be moved at any time. Needs an internet connection? Sorry but I know someone who lives in the mountain that has no access and is very upset. What if my Kinect breaks? That is a major concern for my neighbor. I also know of a lot of people in the military who write me all the time about how they can't play Xbox One because they don't have internet access. I also know of a lot of bus drivers who are in union meeting...
"Yep, it's called multiplayer."
/facepalm
Let's see you and one friend both play Killzone: Shadow Fall on the PS4 with a total of one disc at the same time in two different locations on two different PS4 systems. Not split-screen.
Perhaps people will now think twice before acting like an idiot on Xbox Live. Before you could play your games offline, not anymore. The system needs an internet connection at least once every 24 hours. I can just imagine all the phone calls to Microsoft about how they were banned unfairly.
This will bring up another issue, selling used Xbox One systems. How will this work if you've been banned? I imagine one possibility is to have authorized dealers wipe the slate clean ...

That link shows that Sony had the PSOne and PS2 region locked but not the PS3, Vita or PSP.
Hicken wrote,
"It's really down to each manufacturer."
That link also states this:
"The original Xbox as well as the Xbox 360 are region-locked, although it is up to the publisher if a game is region-free or...

"Spencer told me he believed that two people can play one copy of a game concurrently, but he urged me to check Microsoft's official wording on the matter to be sure."
PS4 games won't allow 2 people to play the same disc will it?
You can add an external hard drive. Having your games installed is very convenient, just ask Steam users.

Both systems will be next gen. consoles. The Wii U will be in a different class.
Microsoft said games must meet country-specific regulatory guidelines. So why does one company have region locked while another is more lenient? I'm not being a smart-ass, I simply don't know.
adorie,
"Sony was already selling PS3 at a loss when it released. something like 300 usd per unit. That's crazy when you consider the loss up to the first "slim"."
And? That was Sony's choice.
@Mikelarry,
"currently microsoft aren't and are adamant that their way or the highway so i don't support them. nintendo although i will never purchase a nintendo console i really want them to succeed as you said ...
I did ask a question, why do you care if Microsoft doesn't care about anyone but themselves? Instead you went off-topic once again.
I also elaborated on other services that depend on connectivity, which I guess by your reasoning means they don't care about anyone but themselves either.
This is the thing, you have a choice so stop acting like you don't. If Microsoft doesn't care about you then move on.
The military wants to be ...
From this article:
"Similar to the movie and music industry, games and other content must meet country-specific regulatory guidelines before they are cleared for sale – which means that games will work in the broad geographic regions for which they have been cleared, much as today with Xbox 360."
So how does Sony get away with region-free?
"While the console itself is not geographically restricted, a user’s Xbox Live account, c...
Nintendo is trying to sell hardware. A 3rd party publisher is trying to sell software, big difference. What Nintendo could do is offer their software on non-competitive devices but smartphones and tablets are competitive with dedicated handheld devices. Sony does offer a few games on the Android market but Sony also sells cellphones.
Nintendo is a company rich in history and they also run their company from inside a bubble. Often beating at their own drum.
"Microsoft DOES NOT care for anyone but themselves."
I guess your internet provider only cares about themselves too. Same with cellphones. Netflix only cares about themselves too.
If Microsoft only cares about themselves then why do you care so much?
Looked awesome for sure. Another reason why I will hold off until 2014 before I get a PS4.
Blow also said this,
"I actually don’t want XB1 to fail because we need competition to keep things healthy."
Precisely. Nobody forced Sony to charge $600 for a game console. That was their choice. If there was no competition do you honestly think the price would have come down as fast or as often? Sony dominated when the PS2 came out. They had to fight and re-focus on the PS3 and thankfully they did and the PS3 turned out to be amazing after game delays and ...
Yes, and they even have positive comments about working with Microsoft. Unbelievable!
Superbrothers: Sword and Sorcery is an awesome game.
