Good point EverydayDigitals. Apple doesn't even make games yet they make millions and millions of dollars off of those games on ios devices. They take 30% of the revenue. Steam also doesn't make too many games and they make tons of money too.
Consumers have various needs and wants. Some want good service, some want good value, some want exclusives, and some want to just have fun.
Fair point but what are 'Sony fans' doing now? Many certainly don't seem to be very positive about the Xbox One even though the DRM for disc games is now dropped. Even though multiplayer being behind a paywall isn't as much of a concern anymore now that Sony is doing it on the PS4. Even though they showed a lot of exclusives for core gamers and not much in the way of casual Kinect titles.
Instead what we have are 'Sony fans' continuing doing what they ...
The PC argument seems to waffle depending on how it suits your hidden agenda. When you look at Xbox 360 and PS3 sales it's obvious the PC is not as much in competition with those consoles as many would point out when talking about exclusives. Not when the top selling franchise on both is Call of Duty and games available on the PC do so well on these consoles. So even though games like Titanfall will come to the PC that game will also attract console gamers and it's not coming to the P...
@Septic,
"Remember how people mocked Microsoft pre E3 about how all the games would be Kinect fare? Well the show shut them up in that regard. The games library is very impressive. And more exclusives will be more than welcome."
Of course but you have to remember where you are. You're on a forum dominated by Playstation fans. You look at the system forums and it's insane how unbalanced the discussions are in favor of the PS3 in comparison to all othe...
"How does the first amendment not cover this?!? So wrong on so many levels..."
What's wrong is the lack of accountability thinking people can say and do whatever they want. No he shouldn't get 8 years in prison for making a stupid comment but people need to be accountable for their own actions. They need to know making stupid comments like that have consequences.
I get so tired of people later saying I apologize for calling someone the n wor...
"This man is the face of the PlayStation 4."
As he should be. He is a game designer who had input in the design of the system. It looks as though Sony learned a lot from the PS3 and how they can improve things for game development.
Get your emotions in check buddy. This is videogames. If you feel they are spamming or trolling them mark it and move on. You are actually making things worse by acting in such a emotionally unstable manner where you need to get all excited and personally attack others because they don't share your passion for Sony.
Whether it's 10-1 in favor of the PS4 or 10-1 in favor of the Xbox One for sales at the end of the year should not give reason to have a breakdown. Enjoy ...
@Hicken,
"Meanwhile, on PS3: Ni no Kuni, The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, GT6, and plenty more. If they're giving that type of support to their outgoing system the year its replacement hits the market, what kind of support do you think the incoming console will get?
Oh, wait, my bad. I mistook you for someone with common sense."
Common sense would leave me to believe a topic about the Xbox One should not lead to Sony fans talking about the PS3 ...
"Anyone who gives up and says "it's the future and is going to happen whether we like it or not" is the problem."
Obviously some games are meant to be made with an online community. Games like M.A.G., World of Warcraft and Destiny come to mind. When you know everyone is connected online you can tailor your game around it.
We live in a social world and gaming is a hobby that can have great experiences with other people. Of course you sh...
"the witness is a PS4 game exclusive.. ? isnt it.. thats what i thought"
It's a timed exclusive on consoles. Although I seriously doubt it will come to the Xbox One since Jonathan Blow seems to now hate Microsoft.

Forza 5, The Witness, Battlefield 4, Watch Dogs and maybe Dead Rising 3.
"I would say quite the opposite. Developers can focus on making the game instead of finding some way to shoehorn gimmicks in."
Sure you'll get that in some cases but it's not mandatory to use it. They are still offering standard controllers on the PS4 and Xbox One. It's not like Kinect has to be used in Forza 5 to control the car. Instead it has Kinect features that you can choose to use or ignore.
@theWB27
"That's my way of looking at it."
Well yeah. I think it's just common sense that it's not a huge deal but look around. You have certain individuals who have a vested interest in making sure the competition looks as weak or as inferior as possible. Not sure why they act that way since anyone can buy either system. It's not like only certain people can get in that special group of owners.
"What's up with that?"
1. What's up with people commenting on games they seem to have no interest in?
2. What's up with the endless off-topic discussions?
If people have no interest in the game why be here other than to troll or show how much of a fanboy they are?
Game ip's will most often always get milked as long as there is a substantial userbase who keeps buying games for it. Call of Duty is the ...
I guess it's a huge deal to those who look for any advantage over competing systems or those who need every square inch of the room. Other than that most people will just tuck it behind the TV like they do with all of those cables and powerbars they already have.
Of course they are better. Both will offer better capturing and the Kinect 2 will be able to detect up to 6 people, distinguish voices much clearer, see people in bad lighting, less size requirements, and even be able to read your heart rate.
These cameras won't make every game better but having it on every platform makes it much easier for developers to utilize. That was the major issue with the Playstation Move. Great device but poor support. It also didn't help dev...
Who cares if they offer both the original and updated version? I don't see how giving consumers the option of the original classic plus a remake matters.
"if you build a PC similar to a PS3 (a shitty PC in today's standard) it wouldn't be capable of running TLoU because the devs made the game so it could run on the fixed hardware of the PS3 efficiently."
But TLoU would actually run better on the PC in the end if you had capable hardware. That's the thing, the PC can scale to your hardware. You could get higher resolutions and better frame rates and better anti-aliasing options on the PC than you do on the...
This right here shows the real intentions of many and that is Xbox One versus the PS4 just like PS3 versus the Xbox 360. For some reason that is the center on the universe, those two consoles battling against each other which sadly brings out the fanboys who are all about attention.
The PC will always trump the consoles in many areas yet we will likely see another drawn out battle over specs on those two consoles because that's what console warriors love to do. See who ha...
@dedicatedtogamers,
"Sessler is kinda losing his message."
Really? What message is that, that he enjoys games and isn't part of all this fanboy rage out there? What message is yours other than you despise Microsoft and have had nothing good to say about them or the Xbox brand for years? You seem severely scarred even though you have a choice not to support the Xbox One.
That's where people like Sessler and the fanatics online differ....
