Lets just keep in mind that all companies aim to make money. It is not unreasonable for a company to make profit on a piece of hardware unless they are in the gaming industry that is. In the past gaikai was also available in Europe. It does makes sense as US is the strongest xbox market. Not sure if they need to rebuild infrastructure as they already did their pilot in the EU.

to be fair we have seen a fair number of developers going bankrupt or struggling in the last few years games.
Developers need to understand that great games matter they do not only need to be bigger (at least for most people), they need to be fun to play.

Could be or not, either way both consoles have a similar pc structure. I do believe that the ps4 will be the better console. If the new xbox or ps will be underpowered compared to its direct competitors it will most likely show in the pricing of the consoles. If the voice support is only for Microsoft it probably is because they are using Microsft voice recognition software (kinect uses a "multi-array microphone running on proprietary software")
But either way as far as I know nobody said the ps3 or pc version won't support the use of a microphone.
Third parties have been having a hard time on the wii compared to the xbox 360 and ps3 and. So no big surprises there. 3DS didn't hav a real good launch do to the lack of games etc it's hard to support hardware if the wright numbers aren't there.
The large discrepancy between the numbers of the xb1 and the ps4 are most likely due to xb1 policy on indie developers(larger number of smaller indie developers).
Also the ps3 has been stronger in Europe compared to the xb360.
