Hope it's true, but hope they won't sacrifice any futures (smaller hard drive).
But following logic it might be a little bit too soon too drop the price so soon since we already know the ps3 has a 10 year life span and has a very goog line-up of games.

Furthermore sony probably also wants too make a profit and they aren't desperate, but having that said they seem very willing too push 3-d gaming on their televisions, audio sets and of course their blue r...

I do agree Microsoft should focus on the software part and leave the hardware part too somebody else, just like they will be doing with the windows 7 phones, but with the console market selling consoles and maybe natal at a loss is not much of an option.

Last couple of years Microsoft showed that they had a good strategy outliving the red ring fiasco and still maintaining an second place, even while Sony is gaining on them.

It isn't a bad article some tips are obvious but didn't know you could use the gravity hammer to deflect missiles etc. Also this article is better than some of the supposed news I have seen on n4g.

I can see why he wants it, but business wise dlc makes a lot of sense, so I am surprised that the VP president is saying this. At this stage he can't force third parties to not make dlc and he most likely won't even try. Games like little big planet rely heavy on user created dlc.

Cutting down content out of games for dlc is a stupid thing to do, most developers should know that by know.Gamers just shouldn't accept that,in the end it's all about how much game ...

To be fair it launched at the same date as lost planet 2, which seems to be fairing a lot better than alan wake. And yes lost planet 2 sales are higher on the xbox 360 (according to vgchartz that is).
Since the beta has ended for halo reach (I think) the sales might pick up later in the month.

True but since it's new tech I can see why they would do that, similar to apple. Marketing wise Microsoft is doing a smart thing with celebrities.
Natal has been shown plenty, shame it only has been shown with one game. But since Microsoft is going too show natal on e3 with its own dedicated presentation, at least that is showing that Microsoft is pretty confident in natal. Why wouldn't they, they clearly have the media at their side...

#1:Marketing wise Microsoft is doing a better job than sony. The media seems too be eating up natal, also natal + mtv marketing Microsoft easy win.
#2:If the move wants too sell it needs too have move only games, in other words a real/necessity reason too buy another controller(even if it's a motion controller.)
3#Microsoft gives the option too combine natal with the normal xbox 360 controller, offering a supplementary upgrade. With this it initially will be xbox 360 cont...

I don't know what the royalty costs behind the blue ray would be for Microsoft, but I can imagine that compared too other let's say next gen discs blue ray most likely makes more economic sense. Also a lot of consumers are already aware of the blue ray brand/name.

But as a gamer I hope next gen neither sony or microsoft will go with blue-ray but with a faster(reading speed) storage medium and thus eliminating mandatory installs. My personal favourite still remains th...

The one thing sony will need to learn from nintendo is that they will need to come with the quality (move only) games.

True just played the beta graphics look better than halo 3 online.
But anyhow wasn't really paying attention to the graphics they weren't that good/different from other games (mw2 etc) for me to notice when playing the beta.

1 The ps move hasn't even launched yet, though added motion control support could be nice, but it won'thave have the install base to support a game like alan wake any time soon.
2 The games seems too look fine on the xbox 360
3 What if alan wakes manages too sell more than heavy rain, by that logic heavy rain should also make its way to the xbox 360. Also a little but of competition between the exclusive ps3 and xbox 360 games actually is a good thing (for the consumer...

I don't think it's too late for a xbox360 slim. A new xbox 360 doesn't even have too be thinner but cheaper, so Microsoft can pass the savings too the consumer. Arguably not putting in HD-DVD in the box was a bad thing but also one of the reasons why the xbox360 always has been cheaper than the ps3.
Pricing is important if Microsoft want too sell more consoles the only thing they need too do is drop their prices.

True but to be faire it's an improvement compared to the old xbox 360 camera. Think it looks better than ps3 eye camera or other external pc/laptop camera's.

First of the further people stand from the camera the less accurate natal will be. So it makes sense that there is a optimum distance for the camera. If you have a normal or small size room there shouldn't be any problems.

It should be able to fit at least 4 people, if there are less than 4 people or if you have a narrow room natal can signal to a game to narrow the level or broaden it depending on the number of players.

Natal has two camera's one being displayed,I guess, is the infrared one, for tracking movement and depth.
The other normal camera most likely is for facial recognition.

Rest of the article is kinda lame.

The disc scratch problem affected Xbox 360s which have seemed to been produced towards the end of 2006, not so much 2010 models.

Scratching discs is no strategy to sell more games, it is if you want to get sued. Same goes for the rod problem which mostly affect early xbox 360 models. It only forced them to spend more money on an extended warranty to win back some of the public favour.

At that time they shouldn't have any reason for a fake demo since hardware/graphics wise the xbox was the stronger console previous generation compared to ps2 and gamecube.

probably not so much for the hardcore gamers

Xbox 360 is doing fine in the UK. Still remember how Sony screwed europe at the ps3 release, glad they have stepped up their game the last few years in europe.
