Not worried about kinect camera gathering private information.
Though people should worry about which information Microsoft and for that any other company collects of consumers. If people wouldn't push back on these issues companies will collect and store as much information even private of consumers.
Selling consumer information is a rather profitable business but is also regulated (well not for the NSA).
Love the stop spell and how magic looks and works in this game. After the first year games will only start looking better.
It really is a shame that the hard-drive is not removable especially as next gen games are easily 50gb each. I do not believe this 8gb flash memory is a stumbling-block for this as it seems the xb1 is not using a hybrid hdd but have the 8gb flash seperately installed.
not new but still fun to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
The big fear of consumers revolve around advertisers collecting information of users which users do not want to share. I do not believe private information can be collected without consent, but consumer interactions with the advertisement will.
Nuads are more about interactivity. Meaning that the interactive decisions made by the consumers in the advertisement will be recorded they are not about secretly recording consumers.
Nuads basicly result in some sort...
Could be interesting for advertisers, they could use kinect to test new advertisements with an opt-in program.
also note as mentioned in other articles and in this one. "First – nobody is working on that. We have a lot more interesting and pressing things to dedicate time towards." It was an interview done speculatively, if something like that ever happened, you can be sure it wouldn’t happen without the user having control over it. Period."
For the people clicking on the story the site triggers a trojan horse warning.
It is not really fair to compare the sony app for the ps4 with the xb360 smart glass and say that we will see a compatibility update for the xb1 smart glass to match the sony app.
Microsoft has designed the xb1 to be used with smarglass connected devices hence the inclusion of wifi-direct (allowing for a direct connection to the xb1).
Sony however does got the edge with streaming games with gaikai. This makes sense for the psvita and ps4 but not so much fo...
Did not count the number of the word balance or balanced but I tend to agree balancing your system it is an important factor in performance.
(25/7500) that's les than 1% about 0.3% of the entire interview.
Ofcourse there will always be jerks online, thing is if the system works they will be playing with other jerks. But hey it could turn into a giant circlejerk
It seems like they focus on innovative aspects in their awards. Obvious that ps4 wins in design hands down. Also the site seems to be dedicated towards a more high income casual market in which a xbox one with its media focus and functionality might be more interesting.
Though I do agree that Microsoft seems to be more innovative with their new tech in kinect and their cloud 'promises'.
Short story Microsoft tweets a video of a surface fan who made a video of features that he liked and are not advertised by Microsoft. One of those features include a downloadable app of a snes emulator.
(edit)Other points mentioned in video include:
-lack of apps which was offset by the browser which supports divx etc. giving acces to full features of facebook and spotify sites last of which can be run in the background. This is a feature because similar

do you have source cause there is not a lot of information on that and it really does not seems that way (after a quick google). I have seen a source claiming otherwise not posting link as it seems info I read was provided by someone who seems biased towards the xb1.
Not that uncommon. To be fair which ps4 games, except knack, where shown on ps4 hardware and not pc during the euro gamer expo. I am sure they will all turn op looking fine.
If it comes to ps4 it will be interesting to see if they will be able to implement the same functionality with dedicated servers as the xb1.
Also found it strange that they if I remember correct respawn said that the xb1 version would be better than the pc version because of the xb1 azure'cloud' services. So you will have too question if it will be the same for the ps4 version.
Its different so I guess its a given people will dislike it without trying. Also curious to try this new controller.
If Microsoft wants to compete with steam and the valve box they would have to use similar pricing same goes for Sony. That is the beauty of having competition between different companies.
The family sharing plan is ofcourse still coming, but most likely only for digital games bought through xbox live.
anyone else noticed the new steam controller?
The thing with damage on branded cars is that almost all manufacturers do not want to have their cars shown as heavily damaged in racing games (such as forza and GT). Hence the use of minimalistic damage models on branded cars such as Ferrari etc.
Good to hear sony is doing good on the indie front. Concerning the ('indie') game Transistor does not really seems like a next gen game to me also hate the voice of the sword. But hey at the right price who knows.
@warthunder
Probably only going to be compatible with windows 8 and mobile platforms. The biggest plus of compatibility for OpenGL is the lack of new (announced) improvements. Whereas Direct3D 11.x is not as compatible but seems to be implementing new features such as tiled resources, basicly focusing on gigatexel using minimal memory and improving bandwith.
