The reason for this article is kung fu live, which is a 2d game. If you strip away the infrared camera and all the other bull of kinect tilting etc they can do the same stuff.
As mentioned before the infrared sensor (which basically provides the 3d-capability combined with the software) is the thing differentiating kinect and the ps eye.
The match making system for halo3 works fine for me, so I am also fine with quitter ban imposed on quitters.
1 150 is pretty expensive but when looking at the arcade bundle including kinect for 299 it's not that expensive.
2 It has a clear direction casual gamers aka the wii crowd, Microsoft has said that kinect will support hardcore games but hasn't shown or named any, focusing on the casual games.

With or without the move it's an interesting game, use of move is a nice bonus.
A kinect bundle commes at 299 dollar (arcade 4gb console+ kinect+controller+cinect game) considering nintendo launched the wii at 250 dollar the pricing is very reasonable if you buy the bundle.
Having that said it seems that,initially, kinect is aimed at expanding the xbox 360 market into the casual market or the wii market. The games shown at e3 pretty much confirm this point.
Of course it will boost the sales of the xbox360 but the question is how much how...
The tech and the possibilities are great, but common you are playing and talking too an interactive boy. However in the hands of bioware I can see a few good things happening in the far future.
Second place maybe beating Nintendo seems too be out of the question considering you will need too combine the total sales of both xbox 360 and ps3 to beat the wii.
So if people wear a long dress and the game requires you too stand up it won't recognise the person or their legs, guess all woman should wear short skirts when playing kinnect, no problem with that at all

The same price as a current arcade model, it's pretty obvious if true it's a xbox 360s. Saying that I don't see any reason at all why Microsoft wouldn't include wifi in a new arcade model priced at the same price as the old arcade model.

a headline with new overheating xbox360s attracts more attention, anyhow the title is deceitfulness, solution might be a new cable. If it's a widespread problem Microsoft better give a 4 year warranty on the xbox360s.
Hardware design Microsoft has kept on improving their designs, compare the old xbox (and old xbox controller) to the xbox 360 and now the xbox 360s. The design of the move is hardly one of it's strong points, except if it was done by an adult toy company.
The Staying power from the move is interesting point will it or will it not fully replace the dual shock controller? Here lies the strongest point of kinect it's an add-on and substitute to the controller.

The target group for which these games are intended won't care about the lag. Let alone know if 200 ms of lag is allot.
For the hardcore gamers lag may be an important issue but if in the end the games are fun too play they are still fun too play...
Too be fair the sticker on the front side did mention do not move the console when it's reading the disc. Some people should learn how to read.

That aren't high numbers, but considering neither one of the companies has really started promoting their motion controller the number might increase, as the consumer awareness of said products increases.
The biggest problem with the xbox is their use of dvd instead of another higher capacity storage disc/solution. That alone might be a reason for the xbox 720 to appear sooner than later.
