Lets wait till after launch. Its better and kinda expected to have some software problems before launch than after the launch.
I think he does a good job with the information he has. I actually believe that he simply does not know. More information is to come so we will have to wait and see.
For the x1 owners who have bought it they will have dedicated servers but maybe but not native 1080p, so it could have been worse.
@ thrust
Thanks for the link, would like to ad that it is a recent article 23-10-13. This should clear up the confusion of Cod not being 720p but indeed 1080p on xb1.
Will be interesting to see if this wil gain as much traction as the the 720p rumours on cod and titanfall.
@ newmonday
Name one source that does not refers to neogaf.
While from a more official source back in June, Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin told Eurogamer that Ghosts will run in 1080p on both next-gen consoles. Though they did admit 60 frame rate is king. If from another original source except neogaf I would believe this rumour.
I doubt it, most likely still 1080 p. 720 p rumour stems from neogaf attacking albert penello for not being able to answer rumour of a person that said cod looked like 720p and not 1080p ( a person who played the game at a showing).
Probably something concerning smart glass on nokia phones and surface tablets.
I hope titanfall will come to the ps4 in the future that way more people will be able to enjoy it. Would also be interesting to see how titanfall without similar cloud support would work out on the ps4.
Respawn talked with both with sony and microsoft and in the end only Microsoft was able to deliver on a promise of "hundreds-of-thousands of dedicated servers at a price point that you can’t get right now".
In the end if it is possible on the pc it should al...
Seems a little bit smaller same colour as current cases. Not sure about the printed logo on the box might look better in a high quality shot with an inserted game sleeve
This news seems kinda redundant. It was pretty obvious developers would be able to choose if they want to use Microsoft azure services to implement adaptive AI, game DVR support or dedicated servers.
Is it juist me or does the new build does look miles better than the old build.
The servers offered to developers by Microsoft are scalable. Meaning that they are less likely to be turned of as they can scale up and down based demand. So on the server side I do not except much reason for Microsoft to suddenly turn of their servers (or for developers to turn of free xb1 servers).
It is of-course possible that after 10 year Microsoft might decide to stop their servers for xb1 live. Though this is also not very likely as thanks to their cloud approach the virtual cl...
Gimped might be depends what kinda pc polygon was playing on.
Otherwise if its a good game some pc guys will pick up EA's slack and come up with some new texture map.
Surprised that the game looks as good as it does. As for the story wonder how far the mythical aspect of the storyline in ryse wil go.
for story see: http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/x...
Most games do have a budget and allotted time-window. A crunch to push through a specific game at a high quality standard, before the dead-line, is bound to happen.
Delaying big triple a games is not something easy decided upon unless there are some unforeseen problems such as quality, management, competition or legal issues. Big developers should be able to manage their resources in order to meet their own specific games target within their own deadlines.
That said I do agree that that there is a certain uncanny Valley where the characters look photo realistic almost human like but not quite there yet. leaving the look out of the characters eyes not quite human but kinda dull.
game cinematics are developed in real time so there is no need for special models for them

Why so negative. Its obvious that Microsoft had to rewrite their xbox software in order to be capable to run next gen software, a lot has been said but they did make a lot of steps forward with newer methods of ray tracing, Direct 3d textures and their multi os system.
Concerning the reliability is it really an issue that Microsft used early kits in order to stress test their console?
Meanwhile Microsoft is touring the country with xb1.
True and most importantly don't lock your ps4 in a small plastic box.
Yes it can, but not on the scale as Microsoft. Internet and cloud gaming on the xb1 clearly has been and still is part of Microsoft larger strategy. They are able to implement such services thanks to azure and their large investments in data centres. In the end developers are more likely to do this for xb1 titles, due to server costs.
Meanwhile both consoles are also fine downloading updates in the background.
