I wonder if it’ll shine better on the stronger psvr2 hardware.
@Babadook7
I more meant to say that from a strategic standpoint, Sony is positioned to not NEED to make a 1st party game, so I doubt they will invest the costly resources to do so.
I say so because what are our alternatives;
1) save a few bucks on a Quest, even though we already own a ps5, and that’ll offer us a few more exclusives, albeit all with worse graphics; albeit also wireless.
2) invest thousands in pc VR for slightly ...
I think he is focussed on what talent can produce within the lifecycle of a console, because that limits how good games can look. That, budgets, tools. But I think AI can be a very helpful tool, a tool that pushes the limits of time and budgets.
Not to mention, we need hardware to still advance to perpetually push performance for VR, which is now tasking machines to render modern graphics for two eyes, and at THE highest framerate possible. That’s a new goalpost for thos...
@Babadook7
I don’t think VR is as much about 1st party games, because the hardware options couldn’t be more varied.
Ps5 and XsX are nearly identical in game performance and price and game library, except for the 1st party games.
GT7 is fantastic if you haven’t tried it yet. It is free to play starting this week, I believe…
Metro VR came out within the last month.
Behemoth came out today.
Aliens comes out in a few weeks.
Ghosts of Tabor was delayed to Q1 2025, but it IS coming soon.
Aces of Thunder has been confirmed recently for 2025.
Pavlov also still rocks.
There have been more games...
The HMG needs a buff to keep up. A Charger can sponge a whole clip still.
Well, I’m sure that the game benefits from a closer-to-the-world perspective by:
1. making it easier to improvise in combat by having a clearer sight of potential weapons laying around an environment.
2. allowing the puzzles to be more detail-oriented, and consequently deeper experiences, since the player can see everything up-close.
3. showing wear and tear to Indy up-close, such as showing his knuckles bleed after punching a Nazi.
Thes...
I bet they play out multiple war campaigns.
A great way to spice up the game in 5 years would be to do a year of crossover content. Since this latest game took 7-8 years to develop, and it’s only AA, I’d bet a AAA sequel leaves plenty of time for them to experiment with relatable licenses to keep us interested while they chip away at something long-term.
….what studio do you think made Left 4 Dead?
You mean… Back 4 Blood?
I blame people like you for letting Evolve die.
Turtlerock Studios deserves a more appreciative fanbase….
Well, consider that VR devs like themselves have a smaller market to profit from, so saying “please make this non-vr” is like asking a Hibachi restaurant to GrubHub a flaming onion volcano to you.
Sometimes you gotta make an effort yourself to take part in a creator’s vision.
And survival horror is HUGE in VR too, and is arguably the natural progression from Amnesia and Isolation; so keep up or get left behind.
No Bluetooth.
Well, a VR dev wanted to make it, so… go make your own game?
We’re gonna get a ton of content in the future for this game. But, I expect big things like driving to drop only when the community is dwindling, and they need to drive people back to the game.
Helldivers 3 will be a juggernaut at launch in 10+ years.
With Horizon 2 in existence, this was just a way to train a new studio.
Most people won’t revisit this game.
Are you saying that the thing a PS5 does for free for EVERY game will cost $20 just for ONE CoD iteration on Xbox?
Lol, why isn’t it included with Game Pass??
Or, does it exist BECAUSE of Game Pass😏
Did you even play Spider-Man 2’s intro?
People really think pre alpha footage faithfully depicted gameplay….
I saw alotta blood, and that was all of the reassuring that I needed.
Forza has lower polygon cars. That is why the base XsX manages its performance.
Both franchises made technical choices, it’s apples and oranges.
Ultimately, GT7 in VR is THE only racing game I’ve enjoyed in the past 10 years, personally; and it’s solely because of the VR.
No.
GoT was a Swan Song to end the ps4. It was a beautifully-high benchmark for the next-gen games around the corner.
Indy is closer to Uncharted 2, in that it would be the first exclusive to justify the hardware… assuming it still was an exclusive.
I’m looking forward to playing it tomorrow. Wolfenstein II, their previous game, was special.
