Are you saying… the games ARE coming?
Bullshit. I call bullshit.
2026 will define nothing except a new direction for Xbox gaming that involves less investment in new AAA ip’s, and a monetization structure that funnels more and more profits to M$.
I welcome a vision that can compete with PlayStation’s, but they don’t have jackshit to contribute, still.
CoD cucks make their own Hell when they excuse garbage..
So weird, it’s almost as if they were NOT too big to fail… and two other companies finally capitalized on the franchise’s years and years of resting on their laurels.
The only game I can think of that involves a wolf and a crocodile might be Rampage, but there is no way their rebooting that IP like this
If I’m following you, you are saying introducing a ps6 would be a way to immediately hit the PS5’s hardware ceiling. That would make sense, but I hope they force Xbox to release their console first, and they then counter with a slightly stronger ps6 a year later. I don’t expect Xbox to launch with a strong initial exclusives roster that would necessitate Sony being first to market.
New hardware is meant to expand possibilities for developers when their ambitions are constrained.
Looking at Death Stranding 2 and Yotei, and anticipating GTA6 and Wolverine will also blow away graphics expectations, I don’t think devs are constrained by the ps5 yet.
The longer they wait to release the ps6, the stronger it will be. People can wait. Just let Kojima finish Physint as a ps6 launch title. That should take at least another 4 years. That w...
Because it’s a different feedback loop.
Multiplayer loops are about engagement between real people; both players need to enjoy their chances of wining each encounter, so players can’t feel too strong or else encounters will be to brief to feel competitive and fun.
Single player games are about translating how powerful the character should feel into game mechanics; there is zero concern for how these mechanics feel when pitted against each other.

Idk why MAG wasn’t bigger. And LoU mp was too good to not be expanded upon successfully. People STILL play it.
Prove me wrong.
“Bold” isn’t the word I’d choose.
Boldness and stupidity are often differentiated with time, but I think we already know how this cookie will crumble.
Steam Sales will erode Game Pass’ value, and people still want a console for around $500, simple as that.
When Netflix said basically the same thing, they said it from a position of strength, not a position of weakness that forces them to redefine their metrics for success so that their floundering looks like a longterm plan.
Aaaaand this is why we didn’t want them buying up the entire Western RPG genre… luckily for me, idc about that genre. Sucks for Bethesda’s fans.
Hopefully their market lead allows them to take innovation risks with the ps6, and hopefully they also work out as expected.
You ignore the work it takes studios to plan for multiple hardware skus.
Sony doesn’t want the scale of their games limited by the Series S hardware, and neither do I.
Says the only console that can’t make exclusives that compete with their poorer competitors, somehow…
Xbox hasn’t had a GOTY contender for over a decade, and it is their own damn fault.
THIS is why they are downplaying the significance of exclusives, as thousands are jumping ship from Xbox in reaction to the price hikes AND the Wolverine gameplay trailer.
THEY don’t want exclusives to matter, but Mario and Wolverine would beg to differ....
Just port over Xbox Party and Ninja Gaiden Black to PlayStation, and call it a day.
You don’t care enough about actual gaming to still get to garden-wall anything anymore.
I played both games on the hardest difficulty as well. And, I beat GoW3 on Chaos, even though it wasn’t needed for the Plat trophy.
Which boss fight did you enjoy? Please note I only consider it a boss if there’s a giant health bar.
The ultra giant boss fight sucked. I’m an OG God of War fan, so I compare giant boss battles to what they achieved on the ps3. The final DLC boss was shallow and repetitive, and hardly leveraged the immense scale at play. When the enemy is the size of hand on the screen, it doesn’t matter how big it actually is… you’re just too far away for it to be “cool”.
I was not impressed by a single boss fight. Every machine was fun to fight, but they are not bosses. I’m talking ...
I’m sure they did a wonderful job with the money spent, but nobody wanted that level of investment into fake tribes. I shouldn’t say “nobody”, because I’m sure anthropology majors were thrilled to see the worlds they created.
But, if I were Sony, I wouldn’t forced them to just spend the money on cooler boss battles instead.
The boss battles lacked, and the villages were overlooked by most players; they managed their resources to develop their product lik...
If you were listening at all since CliffyB left, then you would’ve invested in AAA games. But instead you’re gaslighting us into thinking games like Halo and Gears are antiquated.
We’re not all that dumb.
