Ffs… just give in-game cosmetics as rewards for in-game achievements.
That used to be a “thing” before people started claiming ableism for gatekeeping “content” behind beating a game on a higher difficulty.
I think if you played every AC game, then the Ghost games are more likely to feel repetitive.
I haven’t played an AC game since 2, and I never felt Tsushima was repetitive or stale.
I wouldn’t suggest making a Ghost game linear is the solution. I think the feeling of freedom is needed to feel like the character, especially the first game with the two figurative paths to walk.
Hmm, do you have an example? I was referring to games from the same studio, not Sony games overall.
In the past, Sony hasn’t shown off a studios longterm games just before releasing their latest game.
For this reason, I doubt we’ll see Wolverine a week before Yotei launches.
I am more optimistic about a TGA reveal mid December, since that would be right after a big gift giving season is wrapping up (ie Yotei sales have plateaued), and a wide audience will be tuning in across platforms (ie maximum FOMO seeding).
People forget RE4 didn’t let you walk at all while aiming your gun, and that game is still a classic, even if remakes changed this deliberate creative decision.
Yes, gamers feel too entitled to dodge abilities instead of utilizing the mechanics provided.
All countries with video games have mental issues.
Not all counties with video games allow minors to carry AR-15’s to peaceful protests as “protection”.
The unique factor for my country is obvious, and it’s painful to STILL see video games scapegoated for totally avoidable tragedies.
I don’t want Sony investing in Xbox development until they made games for the console THEY sold me first. That’s a reasonable expectation. I invested in a ps5 for games; that’s not why people buy an Xbox, not anymore.
As long as Sony keeps managing to trade one of their games for several of Xbox’s, then by all means share.
But do not give them a game for nothing. If they want Helldivers 3, then secure ES6 for PlayStation.
Good, so they DID learn from Concord.
…psvr2?
Pre order it, it’s worth it for the cosmetics.
It is owned by Sony, hence why Gears is coming to PS5 the same day. That isn’t a coincidence.
Sony shares the one game Xbox players want, and Xbox shares everything they can for the rest of the gen, to say thank you.
It’s not a “rumor”, it’s desperate marketing.
CoD has been on a steep decline for years, and this is the year they fail too much. MW 2&3 shouldn’t have been the cash grabs that they were.
Their end is nigh.
Great, with Xbox succeeding on complacency for 15 years, somehow, Sony has given up on trying to impress us, too. Why should they take on the risks on of trying to make the biggest and best games available, pushing the limits of what we think is possible for them he medium, when Xbox still has a crowd with ZERO games outside of their Zenimax $80 billion bear-hug.
When competition disappears, we all lose as consumers.
Why would I thank them for removing the ONE motive my friends had for jumping ship with Xbox?
It started with the firing of CliffyB instead of allowing him to make a new game besides Gears, and Bungie quit because they weren’t allowed to make Destiny for Xbox instead of Halo.
It continued with the Kinect, and then they managed to miss the mark AGAIN with the Series S.
Game Pass is an innovation, but it’s proving to be the sort of model that relies on maximum adoption (ie the need to NOT be outsold by Sony globally 5:1).

Agreed, devs don’t take risks with refreshing approaches to AAA projects anymore. Too many devs make the same 3rd person action adventure…
*Data shows Xbox needs to sell their previously exclusive games on PS5 in order for their $80 billion purchase to make sense financially.
Hey, the psvr2 has good support game-wise. If only we had Alyx, too…
