The entire mark and execute system belonged in another game.
It’s cool, but the polar opposite to how Sam Fisher initially handled.
The original trilogy made shooting very, very difficult, yet a viable option, which ultimately motivates stealth.
The mark/execute system makes shooting stupid easy, to the point of why would you even bother trying stealth as an alternative?
Fun with friends.
That should be enough.
You mean next original IP?
I love Sony’s consistent output.
This means a new IP reveal is coming, right?
Why else educate the masses on a studio’s branding, if not to show off something that isn’t a sequel?
I assume Sledgehammer has MGSV-esque aspirations, and the stealth focus isn’t being forced on them.
I hope they succeed, but I’m totally not pre ordering.
You have it backwards: they are NOT a new standard for AAA, they are just the old standard for AAA with modern production value (ie graphics).
The traditional cost of modern graphics has eroded time for actual game mechanics to be refined.
It’s wonderful when studios find ways to still make complete AAA 10’s at launch while still investing fully in aesthetics.
I liked the expansion to 4 more than 4 itself. 4 was great for me too, did alotta new stuff…
But….

Nothing beats the unexpected twist at the end of 2.
I loved Uncharted 2, and none of the others compare IMO.
I like the new take, and I’ll like having a new take next game.
MK often changes up characters.
The moment they drop it, it’ll be like dropping the Kinect: there becomes minimal motivation to support it. Some niche studios will still utilize it, but other studios with older audiences will obey their ROI analysis.
I wish I could turn all skins into military sim skins…. This doesn’t resemble “Modern Warfare” even remotely anymore.
I’d agree with you if other devs weren’t successful with their spin-offs, but I’m pretty sure Raven Studios were praised for WaW zombies and BO2.
I’d amend what you said by saying each dev should stick to their franchise, like MW and Black Ops.
@papabop slammed you
Halo 5 wasn’t big… they haven’t had a big launch since Gears 3.
Refund please.
You’re right, I suck.
I think Insomniac covered this with Infamous.
They are working on a billion dollar game…
Who was even aware of it being for sale for the past decade?
