I could literally write 5 pages stressing the differences between the two camps in this area. The friends all was the only thing going for Xbox, and PlayStation has it too.

Soooo much more is possible….. I’ve literally never mis-captured any video for PS4/5, and they’d let me capture up to a full hour (so basically any boss fight, no matter how long).
I still have trouble capturing 45 second videos with the XsX 90% of the time, while the PS4 has never EVER failed me and lost me gameplay FOREVER.
Somebody can’t find a PS5…
I’m surprised M$ can’t afford to match their price cut, let alone just avoid raising the price on their lead console when it still lacks games.

It’s great to finally be able to play games made in China. No gamer wants to be isolated from such a vast pool of talent and creativity. It should be interesting to experience Chinese culture through a game for the first time.

I don’t think homosexual characters, especially in a Teen rated game, is any more political than mixed ethnicity couples.
Some people feel the need to make it political, because they are behind society’s development.
Those people can catch up or shut up.
If you don’t like gay people in front of your face, then maybe move to Saudi Arabia or Russia. You’ll be amongst more like minds, and happier apparently ;)
I understand the need for cultural sensitivity, but I am also happy when studios don’t censor homosexuality to cater to cultures that don’t tolerate it.
I’d rather cater to homosexuals than cultures that want them to stay closeted, or think they are mentally ill.
The irony is that my Xbot friends are always claiming I must be miserable with the UI of the PS5 (which has always been perfectly navigable)…. Meanwhile, Xbox is the one that feels the need to “improve” their UI every six months…
I guess it’s easier to tinker with a UI than make a decent AAA game.
No shit their Game Pas sub numbers are limited by the size of their console base…
It’s like nobody wants to spend $500 on a console to play a sub service that only gives access to games available everywhere else…
It’s simple: make games for your console, and then sell consoles to people that want to play those games.
Any attempt to over complicate this ^^ truth of the market is an attempt to obscure Xbox’s objective failing: AAA output...
They need games, this isn’t new.
Pitch new ideas all you want, consoles need games, and the Xbox consoles have lacked AAA exclusives since the latter half of the 360 era.
I was promised for a decade+ that “the games ARE coming”, and it turns out I was lied to. They had nothing good in the pipeline all this time…

“AA” = ~$40
“AAA” = top price, $70

EDIT: surprise surprise… it didn’t take more than a few paragraphs for the article to turn into an effort to downplay the value of AAA blockbuster games from Sony and Nintendo that push the medium forward, and the article starts glorifying Game Pass and its AA offerings.
