Idk, I’m a big fan of my ps5, and in contrast hugely disappointed by how Halo was handled after Halo 3. With that said, I do think several Zenimax IPs will actually flourish better under M$’ wing.
Hear me out: M$’ issue with studios is that they never let studios take risks. They never let Bungie make their “Last of Us” (in terms of drastically changing their tone and genre). But look at the Zenimax studios: id Studios I think would be happy making DOOM and QUAKE forev...
I think it is smart to try to innovate BR. The final circle concept works, but nobody has tried to improve upon it yet.
I hope that they include solos as a playlist still, instead of sticking strictly to a team-based BR.
How long do you want matchmaking to be?
As long as they are constantly trying to fill the lobby to replace bots, I think bots are the only way to make matchmaking times viable, especially a few years down the road once the community settles.
The first game took my by surprise, so I’m sure the sequel will be great. I hope they expand the level of detail for gore (it bothers me when all zombies are cut along the same 10 lines at elbows, knees and such).
At the very least, the 3D audio sells me. The first game was bonkers at night, and improved audio will not go to waste.
Disagree. My younger cousin just knows Halo as “that old game”, and he’s over 21.
Halo needs to rebuild brand equity.
Is the dlc done yet?
Cool 🤙
Lol, I didn’t realize this was a phone game, that explains everything.
Oh no, I have to play the campaign AGAIN?!? What a hassle.
You can’t. I can’t even pay $5/month for Gold, they are closing loopholes for introductory offers just like Netflix. They don’t wanna sell a year for $50, they want to be able to raise the price to $20/month once they’re actually releasing games of their own again.
They know there is already a very good Spider-Man game out for comparison, right? Who has a ps4, and still wants this?
But guys, it’s gonna be FREE day ONE on Game Pass in 7 years, after you’ve spent $1260 on Game Pass at that point (7years X 12 months X $15/month).
I’ll hold off on game pass for the next seven years, and instead buy a XsXv2.5 just for ES6.
Lol, because it would have been the only game in the Rare bundle rated M.
And it was cool, but the mechanics haven’t aged well
They have only don’t remakes, but they were remakes of classics. And, not only have they excelled at replicating or updating what made those games classics, they have also shown great judgement with changing whatever did NOT age well about the game.
We don’t know how creative they can be as a studio yet, but we do know that they know how to make quality games with good design choices throughout. I for one cannot wait to see what their first original IP is, but I’d also be...
… I’ll bite, what are you talking about.
Which do you think is easier to plan around financially: one time purchasers, or an ongoing community of players?
…Id’s 2021 project, the subject of the article you’re commenting on?
I’m not getting game pass. Stop trying to starve me out.
I think you raise solid points. I certainly don’t understand how to value a publisher over a studio…. Did Microsoft even need another publisher?
I kinda agree with the first reply, in that they might’ve bought the whole package just to get the gems. Comic collectors will do this: they’ll have somebody buy their whole $20k collection just to allow the buyer to acquire the dozen or so really rare gems that the buyer is REALLY after.
I would love a trilogy remaster if they redid the whole ending to part 2. The first game’s final boss was GREAT, but I guess not enough people played it because the ending boss for part 2 was clearly stripped of any funding. Part 2 does have these great boss fights throughout, boss fights that somehow managed to top the GREAT final boss for part 1, but it was just a total letdown that the final boss for part 2 deviated completely from this pattern quality boss fights.
