too much, too soon. In a few more years when the price of components is less, a PS3 will make more sense, but for 2006-2007, it just costs too much.

It's too dark and fuzzy to be absolutely certain that the DS2 is actually connected to the PSP and is controlling it. I'd have to see how he did it and be able to try it for myself before I believe it. You would think it would be easier to connect a sixaxis, anyway since it has a mini-USB port on it just like the PSP.

The defective PS2 laser thing is a well known fact. Sony even had a class action lawsuit filed against it and were forced to do repairs for free.

actual dump of RFOM showing much padding taking place.

for the reason I mentioned. The whole fiasco with the PS2 laser that stops working after you play too many movies in the system.

the noise reductions seem too minimal to be worth the effort and risk of voiding your warranty.

no point really to backing up an HD disc unless the backup is also in HD and it isn't going to be cheap to upgrade your computer to the specs that you have shown. 4 SATA drives??? If you're going to spend that much money, then you may as well buy the same HD-DVD movie twice and leave one unopened for a backup. It's cheaper. This isn't anything really "new" anyway. The spec for HD-DVD and Blu-Ray states that when you try to make a copy that isn't an approved managed copy, the quality...

It's already been shown that devs are padding those Blu-Ray game discs with garbage, not additional content.

Atari 2600 adapter for Colecovision. Very successful. The HD-DVD player will be successful because it is less than half the price of a low end stand alone HD-DVD player and works with the PC. Microsoft learned the lesson that SOny didn't from the last generation. it's that playing movies in your game console reduces it's operational lifespan. I am glad that Microsoft is making their HD solution available as an add on and not built in. I don't want another bricked console.

Most of Nintendos games revolve around Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Kirby, Wario, Pokemon, Donkey Kong and DK Jr. Even Link went cutesy in Wind Waker. Now that Wii is clearly a generation behind in graphics, a lot of producers of more mature games won't release them on Wii because they won't be as impactful without the graphics.

And RE4 wasn't released by Nintendo, it was released by Capcom, which to my knowledge hasn't been bought out by any of the console makers just yet.

the police shouldn't have gone in with guns blazing. The person they were sent to arrest was still only a suspect. For all they knew, the person they were sent to arrest may have been innocent, but now we'll never know because you can't try a dead man. I don't know if any of you have dogs, but he didn't have to send the dog after the cops. When someone kicks in your door, and you have a good guard dog, he will go for whoever bursts through the door without being told to. Those cops should hav...

Betamax had better audio and video than VHS and still lost and they had more companies behind them then than Blu Ray has now. People will buy what they can afford and right now entry level HD-DVD is $500 and Blu Ray is $1000. A lot of people who are just looking to watch movies, won't buy a game machine, even if it is cheaper because it will always have less features than a dedicated movie player to keep costs down. It doesn't really matter how many companies line up on which side, the consum...
