yes mainly the combat (which for me is a huge deal) was very lackluster. The story and how it was told, I also wasnt a big fan of. the movie and maybe also the anime should have been in the game and not seperate from it, it just felt like an incomplete game to me. Im glad the visuals and the music were excellent, thats the reason why i managed to finish the game. And I do have to give props to the ending of 15 though, that was quite well done how it blended into the logo.
their crossplay payment scheme leaking during the epic vs apple lawsuit also didnt help either.
that comment was directed at lucas, he made the comparison and if something failed or not compared to previous gens. also i didnt compare the ps3 and gamecube, i compared how apparently failure is measured for nintendo but not for playstation, compared to the previous gen and if they sold more or less and market share.
I think there is also something inbetween succes and failure, not being the smash hit they hoped for doesnt mean its an auto failure. Also a lot of the people that grew up with snes and nes were grown up by then, thus gravitated more towards the mature ps and xbox.
by your logic ps3 would be a failure then as well. nintendo who previous gen sold like 30% of ps2 with gamecube dominated ps3, they lost their dominant market position blablabla.

since when is the Wii U half of their consoles? and if you add virtual boy or something then also add the gameboys to it. pretty sure its more like 15% that failed then still.
@badz I think the game looks fine, and also a game isnt only its graphics. how would you rate Undertale then....as a -9999/10? ATARI GAMES LOOKED BETTER THAN IT, ITS SO INFERIOR.
@crimson it is common in game development for the game to looks trash compared to the final product untill the final stretch of development. Thats why no dev is thrilled to start releasing alpha footage, because many people will just shit it on it without realizing how a game is made.
I dont mind them taking their time if the final product turns out to be good.
I always love people who start talking shit about a game that isnt even out yet. Makes their points that much more valid.
@username yeah you are right about that, but when most of the programmers are working on fixing the game and they release new content while some of the major bugs still arent fixed its just not smart to release content or there is a good chance the same thing might happen again. I also think they owe it to the players to fix the game first and foremost.
I was really curious about Martins involvement with this game. I expected something similar that he made a setup for the world and maybe a rough draft for the story. Im also quite surprised that he heard of Dark Souls before he even met with Miyazaki, I watched a lot of his interviews and in those he did mentions books and movies but never games.
Cant wait to get my hands on this.
I thought the Demon Souls IP was owned by Sony and not From Software. thats why they made dark souls instead of Demon Souls 2

@enkidu so sony can make ps5 games and port them to ps4 without holding the generation back, but xbox cant make a game for series x, adjust a couple things and release it on series s without holding the generation back? double standards mate.....

stop acting that now gamepass exists, its impossible to still buy a game as usual....you can still go to the store and ask the nice looking lady behind the counter to wrap it in a gift wrap even. or buy it on the online store ofcourse.
I prefer to own a physical copy of my games as well but that doesnt mean that i find gamepass a bad deal, the opposite actually. the more options for consumers the better.
