@darth the jack of all trades saying doesnt seem applicable to me, they worked on tons of good games so they're doing something right and I think especially for a studio that doesnt make whole games they should be masters of the parts that they do? seems to me that way at least.
Its just that i have no frame of reference of what they worked on specifically so i cant judge them on that. I have faith that Sony makes good decision, but i cant get hyped or credit them for ...
@thedoomedguy also depends on what kind of ending you like (didnt play QB so cant comment on that), but for last of us and to some extent horizon zero dawn didnt need a sequel for me. I like open endings, where the main plotline is ended but the future (of the world) is left to my imagination and I think Last of Us and Horizon are perfect examples of that.
if they did it all they wouldnt be a support studio ;)
i know a lot of studios get help from support studios, but i literally dont know what aspect of any game they worked on was created by them, so cant really judge it as good/bad aquisition. When they aqcuired for example Insomniac I was hyped, because i know exactly what Insomiac delivers, i just cant say the same for this aquisition
I dont doubt they are all talented people working there and Sony bou...
how did they nurture them exactly? stop with this putting sony on a pedestal, they worked on tons of games, not only by sony so how did this cozy nurturing culture get created? $$$
what do they actually do? yes i know its support so not making a full fledged game, but tbh i dont know if its for motion capture, producing assets or gameplay so i cant really get stoked for it or say its a good tactical aquisition. Sony aint dumb so i doubt they just randomly aquired them, but cant get excited over it when i have no clue what aspect of games they work on.
so if the game gets good reviews again you wont play it? last one got great reviews
ehh no? different face, different bodyshape, different hair. the only thing in common is them both being a videogame protagonist
@magog just like all your comments on this site, useless filler
just ignore him, he only cares about fidelity, not about gameplay or aesthetic.
they do for fan remakes, not for tech demos in UE of one level
I dont think will give them their full legal support, they arent waiting to get into a courtcase either I imagine. Its no even their game I think, just their hmmm "indie support division" as far as im aware? It would be cool to see EA stand up for them though, that would make things a lot more interesting for sure.
Also i think they dont have to change their name, its just that they cant trademark it, which is not the same as copyright, which goes to any work crea...
dont say it too loud, they trademarked it now, they might come after you
@defaultcomment boys play lol, men play dota
its not that they will easily win, they use shitty legal tactics to basically make it a war of attrition instead of an argument in court. thats what most of the smaller companies cant compete with, its not that they cant win any of them, but having your product delayed by a couple months can be carried by large companies, not by smaller ones.
they do definitely need more of them yeah ;)
like yes activision bad, but isnt a contractors thing that they do NOT work for a company, so have no assurance of having a job? thats the risk of going solo, so now they are basically complaining that they are contractors and not working a fulltime job at a company?
gotta agree, the first GOTY awards show was terrible though, but they got better and now they actually feel legit. and i do have a softspot for him from his days from gametrailers.com, so maybe thats it ;)
you wont, if you hear/see the game is good enough, you will throw this false sense of "morality" out the window and install it anyway.
so when will i be receiving my free ps5?
yeah its much better now, especially compared to like 10 years ago where everone was acting like Jack Sparrow.
