if they arent happy with it why would they buy it again? My brother loves assassins creed, he doesnt care if there are xp boosters for sale or something alike, he wont use them anyway. but almost without fail he buys every AC at launch. Im pretty sure there are way more people like him, not only for AC, but for all the sequel IP's that get new releases yearly or bi-yearly.
The players that buy assasins creed or far cry every year dont care, thats why they keep buying them.If they cared wouldnt it sell like shit by now after 15 years?
the players that dont do the research for that dont care about it anyway and are probably happy with the product.
not even close. Tomb Raider was technologically groundbreaking. The first female videogame mascot, sold tons of merchandising. Lara Croft kinda sexualized the female protagonist while Aloy does the exact opposite. Horizon is an amazing game but in terms of impact nowhere close to Tomb Raider because of the era they were released in.
so the russian government gets 3 times more in taxes? makes sense yeah
It does matter, cause it can build upon the story that was already created on the ps1 and psp. I dont know if its good, and i will probably give it a try since i like tactics game, but why cant we just get a new FF tactics? People have asked them for forever now to make a new one, and then them making triangle strategy and this new thing is a bit of a spit in the face, regardless if those other games are good or not.
I thought we were finally getting a new FF tactics, then it was some other random name....jesus square, get to know your audience. We are waiting on a new one for consoles for 2 decades now.
for some people runs like this are fun. Thats whats so nice about the souls game, you can play them how you want. you can give yourself self-imposed challenges, you can grind for 4 hours to just steam through the next couple bosses, you can summon your friends to help and so many more ways. Why would this drain the fun out of it?
Show us Ni No Kuni 3!
and they accurately represented all wrestlers being cross-eyed!
pretty sure Sony would allow them to compete. But nintendo has seen all smash bros tourneys as free advertisment from the community, instead of providing setups/games etc they demand that you play their adds on the tourney and put up posters with their newest game instead of actually supporting the competitive smash scene. They just piggybank off them. Now that Sony runs it they wont get free advertisement over there, thus fuck over their smash community by not allowing having it at EVO.
the appeal of steamdeck is emulation? there are so many devices now that can do emulation, phones, psp/vita, pi's. I've seen how it ran control, and it actually ran it really well. Not with ultra graphics on 4k ofc, but from what i could see on the captured footage it looked great. I doubt it will run god of war well at max settings, but imagine playing that on the go, count me in.
PC gamers dont want to play on a handheld, and how about the opposite? Console gamers dont wanna play on pc, but can still play pc games now without buying a pc. There were already alternatives for steamdeck beforehand, but now thats its got the Valve/Steam name behind it and from what ive seen its a pretty well designed device, I think you underestimate this machine by a mile.
Also why wouldnt i wanna continue playing my games on the go as a pc gamer?
wait what? performance issues should be expected? to what low standards have you sunk?
I think the problem that dragged the whole game down was that the gameplay was just brainless button mashing and potion/phoenix down spamming. The open world never felt dangerous, or that it had a challenge. It looked gorgeous though, but combined with shitty combat and fetch sidequests the world felt way too stale. No interesting sidequests, nothing that got me invested apart from the visuals (and the music ofc, but thats not really limited to the open world). The bounty hunts were alright b...
is there any gameplay shown yet?
That's kind of the curse of AAA games, even though a lot of them are great, barely any of them are revolutionary in terms of game design. That's where indies come in to push the industry forward. It not that bad of a symbiotic relationship actually. No big company wants to gamble 50m+ if it will turn out good or not, and a lot of these indies gets crowdfunded/investor money so the risk isnt as big either.
Never actually played any of them, but the boxart and the back of the box did always look good. Maybe time to dive in for once.
reminds me of the old gameboy link cables a bit where you could play a game with 2 people while only having one cartridge. It was a bit limited though, but a good idea.
didnt know there was a monopoly on being a gearhead
