That's my hope. Perhaps he knows how we all feel about bad ports.
As long as it doesn't look or run like crap when it comes out for PS3, I'll be happy. A delay isn't something I'll object to if it means that the finished product is solid.
Ugh. I wish they'd stop talking about this game. I'm already ridiculously excited. I can't take anymore. :P
I think I finally understand why Haze didn't turn out so hot. They spent more money on marketing than they did on development.
I'll still rent it, and I'm sure I'll enjoy the five-hour single player campaign, but I can't see myself buying it.
Out of curiosity, LenHart, do you have any sources you can point me toward regarding that information? I'd just like to know if it's fact, or speculation, so I can temper my excitement if it's just rumor.
@LaChance: That's the funniest thing I've read in a long time.
I'm sure there'll be a Halo 4 eventually. However, that goes back to your own point...It won't sell systems because the people that are going to want to buy it already bought Halo 3, and thus, a 360.
I'm really excited about Vampire Rain. I've always wanted to play a game that could make me hate life.
I hope so.
I never thought I'd see the day when someone would be interested in buying a game for Home trophies. That made me giddy for some reason.
I'm going to have the same problem. Too many good games coming too fast.
I wouldn't place any bets on PS3 exclusives from non-first party developers staying that way unless a *lot* of money has changed hands. The 360 install base is just too big for them to give up all the potential sales they could otherwise have.
Like it or not, there's always ways to rework a game to run on another platform. Even a bad port of MGS4 would probably sell a lot on the 360, it'd just take a lot of DVDs. That wouldn't stop them from doing it if Konami thought there was e...
Perty game.
I'd rather have both, although I have a feeling Mass Effect won't make it to the PS3. *sighs sadly*
EA doesn't own Take-Two.
Yet, anyway.
:P
I'm not sure Crysis will be coming to the PS3, honestly. I have a feeling they're working on something else for the system instead. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
I hope so, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Mass Effect is a game I'd love to play, but I don't see it happening unless EA forces it, and that'll just translate to an inferior port. I'd probably still buy it, but still. ;)
All you 360 owners need to stop being positive about this. I've given out more positive feedback reading this thread than I have since I first started reading here.
It seems unlikely to me that EA ports will continue to be shoddy in the future. If I remember correctly, PS3 owners have purchased a pretty sizable number of games from them in the last year.
With growth in install base will come quality, I think, and the PS3 has picked up quite a bit globally. They can't keep pissing off a larger number of people and expect them to keep buying forever.
So true. This is a damned good year for variety.
