Bought this last week and I agree the single player isn't much of a campaign (shoulda just been called "Training", like someone above said), but that's not why you buy Unreal Tournament games. The franchise is all about awesome multiplayer.
Can't wait for the user-created MODs and maps to start pouring in.
Haven't had an issue with the controller for 3 generations of Sony's consoles. It doesn't feel ideal for shooters because of the slight scrunched feeling of the analogs when you need to use both, but it's not hard to get used to if you keep at it.
The square button and R2 button on one of my old PS2 controllers get jammed sometimes, but I've had them for several years of heavy use, so it's surprising that they still even work at all.

Finally, some more news on this game. It was one of the more interesting titles shown at E3 last year. Total real-time map manipulation sounds like a pretty fun thing to tinker with.
When I first read this, it reminded me of Michael Bay's recent speculation about Microsoft's hand in the format war being there purely to prolong the HD-DVD/Blu Ray battle until downloadable content amped up enough to have a chance at being mainstream.
They denied it shortly after that statement became circulated, but now they're claiming it's the way to go, above either format.

Legally, Paramount/Dreamworks have to be exclusive. Exclusivity was paid for by the HD-DVD group, so they're under contract. When their contract runs out (I believe it's an 18 month contract), I wouldn't be surprised if they jumped ship.
Can't speak for Universal, they just seem to have always been supporters. I would assume they're under some kind of contract with the HD-DVD camp as well.
Gates isn't actually the scrooge that people make him out to be, despite all the mudslinging from console warriors. Sure, he's a businessman, but he's not a total prick. He actually donates a ton of his personal revenue to charity.

I agree. I've been a Blu-Ray fan since before most of you probably even heard about it (I was in a test group for it several years ago), but this continuing stampede of repeat articles really is getting kind of annoying. We know it's a big blow to anyone supporting HD-DVD, so stop posting a new article everytime someone on the internet posts a new blog/article telling us that.

They'd still have the Halo fans though, I guess. Console RTS are notoriously bad, so I would like to see their supposed perfect controller figuration. The Columbine school shooting was also in Colorado, which would probably be some of the reason behind extra anti-video game sentiment coming from that area. The media got into a frenzy over the fact that the shooters played violent games.
