I think it's about 50/50 CGI/real time game engine. Some of them have that overly smooth CGI look, and others have the smooth but crisp engine look.
Either way it's stunning, and I wish we could get a whole bunch of completely new ones.
I still don't understand why everyone's been on this game's nuts since E3. 80% of the footage released shows characters chatting with eachother, and the rest is footage of battle gameplay, which really turned me off (too much stop and go).
Are the graphics good? Sure. Do graphics make a game fun? Not by a long shot.
I'm not jumping into the console war realm because I really don't care which console it's on (and because console warring is utterly retarded unle...
You know, you can interpret some info as 9/11 being an inside job, but whenever one of you conspiracy tools claims it fell just like a demo, it makes me laugh. Have you ever even seen a demo? It falls very quickly, and all at once, with flashes of light all over the building on every floor. Not from top to bottom with everything underneath the falling area in perfect condition, and 3 glares of light that you guys run with as concrete proof of bombs being planted.
I understan...
Looks so great. Love that picture with Jack.
I fail to see how this is a big deal. The PS3 has no overheating issues, so not implementing cooler running chips isn't detrimental to the overall product.
Sure, it's always good to upgrade things, but if it's not a real issue in the first place, I don't see how this is negative. It's just neutral news.
iPhone... Go to Europe or Japan and you'll find phones that make the iPhone look like that old honkin 80's walkie-talkie lookin cell phone.
The Elite looks better than the Halo 3 360. There's nothing "fancy" about it. The controllers in that pic don't even come with it.
Very brutal, a nice improvement from the first one. I haven't gotten too far in this game yet (been playing Bully more), but I'd like to see what the buzzsaw kills look like now. Too bad it never saw the light of day the way it should have (unless you PSP hack it). Might buy a Codebreaker device for my PS2 to bypass all the nonsense scrambling the kills.
Does it deserve the AO rating uncut? Absolutely.
Do console companies need to revise their policy on ban...
Yeah, I don't like the idea of digital distribution becoming the leader, and I know I'm not alone. I'm a big fan of having the case, booklet, and disc in hand. I'd much rather bring that to a friend's house than my whole desktop computer.
I'm also not a fan of methods of living that keep us further trapped inside our homes. If I have to run down to the store to buy/rent a movie/game, that's fine with me.
Well that blows. There's one a block away from my house. I walk down there to check out the used games from time to time. I've been going there since I was a little kid, when all the staff knew me and used to give me free movie posters.
Definitely agreed. EA is nothing close to a run down company. Sure, their games are usually generic and dull, but their business is booming. Throwing around hundreds of millions of dollars just to own the names, workers and products of any group they can wrap their bland fists around.
Hundreds of pre-holiday layoffs by a gigantic billion dollar corporation. It's almost too cliche to be true.
I have little faith in a game based on The Boondocks, no matter which console it's on. What would it be about anyways?
It's a hilarious show though.
"Halo 3: So good, it'll make you slap yo mama!"
Horrible, you don't punch your mom...ever. Especially over something as trivial as a video game. If I were his father, I'd break all his electronic equipment in front of him.
Edit - lol @ the Problem Child pic.
Without companies like Rockstar being willing to push the boundaries of what's allowed, no matter what the consequences, we don't stand a chance of seeing the day when adults can have their own console games.
Many people looking at the industry as a whole are still tied to the idea that video games are for children, even though the average gamer is nearly 30 years old. That thinking needs to be re-evaluated.
Of the millions of people playing violent video ga...
Erm, Lair was developed by Factor 5, and published by Sony.
Hmmm...3 slots left, but I can think of more than 3 that should make the list.
Capcom
Nintendo
Sony
Take2
Blizzard
Namco
Just those 6 off the top of my head.
What the hell? The Wii?! Didn't see that one coming...
@ macalatus - Yeah I hope it's not cut too much. Should still be a pretty decent game though. I hear it's still plenty more gruesome than the first one, even with all the censoring done to grant it the M rating.
@ smturner68 - It's definitely not for everyone =P. I have the same game dilemma as you. Piled up games from eBay that I haven't even cracked open yet, but I'm still psyched about Manhunt 2.
Already pre-ordered Manhunt 2 for PS2 =)
Same here. This isn't really my type of game, but innovation is very important to me, especially nowadays. I'm very glad for its apparent success.

Zeitgeist has been debunked by proxy, since it made the mistake of sourcing much of its info from Loose Change. You guys should see the special done by Popular Mechanics. The guys who made Loose Change are on there, admitting that a lot of their info is wrong, and that they're currently making another version with more theories.
