Stacking discs in a retail package? That's really tacky, cheap and unprofessional. This is also the only time I can recall a multi-disc console game being shipped like that.
If the Asian version comes properly contained, why can't the American version? What gives?
Yeah, I tried for about a half hour before deleting it. "Connection failed" or "Room is full" every time. Got into one game eventually, but it never started up (idle host?). Creating my own game never worked either, no one joined. Call me crazy, but I think that a major prerequisite for releasing a demo would be to make sure it's playable.
Catchy lobby song though...
Sucks for the uninformed sheeple who are going to buy it, not knowing that support for the format is dwindling.
Agreed on the fishyness. I think they're spinning minuscule shipments into "sold out everywhere".
As someone else pointed out earlier, on Amazon the sold out Wii remains in the top 10 because it's constantly selling out, but the 360 Elite is #276 and #1,330 in best selling video games (they have 2 different Elite bundles).
The 360 Premium is the top selling Microsoft console on Amazon, usually bouncing around somewhere in the top 25 of video games.
@cmd5150:
Convenience? I'd rather pause the game and be able to respond from there, than have to quit the game entirely and return to the main screen in order to access my messages, then boot my game back up until they respond when I have to shut it down all over again.
Having patience and reading it when I'm done playing doesn't help much if it's a message about them wanting to play with me.
I just want to be able to send and respond to messages while I'm playing a game. I don't like having to quit what I'm playing in order to ask someone if they wanna play with me.
Toshiba should just bite the bullet and figure out a way to abandon ship in a dignified way. Unless they start buying out exclusivity from every movie studio they can, there's really nothing they can do to gain the leverage they need to beat out Blu-Ray. They're going to slowly lose more and more market share over the coming months, until (and I'm just guessing here) they finally fold their hand and move on.
Their best bet would be to figure out a game plan that involves integr...
I'm split between the Super Nintendo and Playstation 2. Both were/are phenomenal gaming consoles.
Very cool layout, loving the updated site so far.
Can't wait for this game to come out. I'm just glad Ivy, Tira and Voldo are back. Everything else is just a little added plus.
Comparing those two pictures, the 360 looks better.
Comparing those pictures to the demo running on my PS3 and standard def TV, it looks the same as the 360 pictures. The jags, smudges and blurs just weren't there when I played it myself, especially in the case of that fiery boss. Looked way better than the PS3 comparison photo shown.
They gotta stop throwing out arbitrary dates. It's really beginning to kill off the anticipation they had rolling. Can't keep disappointing your potential fanbase and expect them all to hang around.
Do it like Rockstar did. Announce a nearly full year delay. It might piss off a lot of people, but it's better than repeatedly pissing off a lot of people with more and more wrong release dates.
Kinda sucks that release dates have become nothing more than estimate...
Ah I see. Not so much unknown within the UK then. Still pretty damn far from a general consensus though.
So a poll at an unknown European retailer is equivalent to 47% of people preferring HD-DVD? Misleading spin to the max.
What happened to all the accurate and good articles this site used to generate?
I haven't completed the demo, but I've played it for a bit. It's pretty fun once you realize your knife is way better than your guns.
Turok demo was pretty fun, but not until you get out of that cave and learn that your knife is a 1-hit killer if you get close enough to an enemy/dino.
Won't be buying another COD game unless it's done by Infinity Ward. Call of Duty 4 is the one and only game I liked from the franchise, and I like it very, very much.
Gravity hammer ring a bell? It was just an example anyways.
I was going to buy the game anyways because I'm a pretty big fan of the franchise, but the Star Wars characters are kinda lame. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of having different bonus characters for each version (like they did with SC2), but Star Wars?
Woulda been better to use video game characters, in my opinion.
PS3 - Kratos? Nariko?
360 - Master Chief? Ryu Hayabusa?
There are many possibilities for each, and I think Star Wars ...
Woo! Go mute!
Really need that ability sometimes. The other day someone was playing some porno all loud with his microphone on. It was funny at first, but then just really annoying.
