Been seeing a bunch of the new gamers bash it around forums, and G4's only article about it was calling it lame.
Personally, I like it, and I got a big shot of nostalgia when the old type of music kicked in during the trailer. This one's for the old school. The new generation just doesn't understand.

They just set an arbitrary date. They use that same date for a lot of far off games with undetermined release dates. It'll be changed when the real one is announced.

It's a damn shame that 1 year post launch EA still can't get a port right. EA stands for all that's bad about the industry nowadays...well, when it actually develops a game. *whew* The winner's list isn't as terrible as I thought it would be. In fact, I agree with most of it. God of War II should have beaten Super Mario Galaxy in the action genre though, no question about it.
Design is 3D, gameplay is 2D. Win/win.
Very surprised that X-Play of all people didn't even nominate God of War II for GOTY. When the "next-gen" dust settles after a title's launch, God of War II is still a masterpiece, and the single best game I've played this year.
