Anyone find any extra fixes/tweaks/add-ons included in the firmware aside from the new store?
I'm guilty of...
1 - Portal owns
6 - Started and finished Final Fantasy IX in a single sitting. From Friday afternoon until around 4 AM Monday morning.
7 - Often skipped school for game releases back in the N64/PS1 days.
8 - lol
10 - Lots of imported PS1 titles, and Pokemon Stadium for N64 months before it came out in America.
14 - Tofu! I was a Resident Evil 2 prodigy back in the day.
15 - eBay owns for discontinued games.
17 - Doom 2 ...
Very well said, Tempist. A massive wave of creative, fresh, and purely fun titles washing away the corporate status quo of mediocre ideas, that have been recycled over and over again to feed the consuming sheeple.
One can dream...
I've seen sealed black label FFVII's go for far less than $400 on eBay. The one I think they might be referring to was a pack of 7 sealed black label FFVII's, which sold for a few hundred.
Out of this list, I only had FFVII and Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. Sold Lunar long ago, but I still have FFVII.
Based on common sense and basic math?
- 1 unit is sold to a consumer.
- Unit breaks.
- Broken unit is returned for a new unit.
- 2 units taken from retail by the same person, only one actually bought.
- Warehouse ships 2 more units to replace the 2 at retail.
See what I did there?
It's not like this is an exclusively "SCANDALOUS OMGNOEZ MICROSOFT SCAM!". It's just the way it is, and having the most commonly broken console in t...
I think it really has helped their shipping figures. Replacing a broken unit with a new one still counts as another unit shipped.
It was every 50th, not the first 50.
IX was my favorite of all the PS1 Final Fantasy titles, but not my favorite of all time.
For me it goes:
VI > XII > IX > all others.
Yes, yes, I know. I'm one of the not-so-many who loved XII. Everything about that game was enjoyably fresh to me (except the worthlessness of the Espers, that sucked).
Oh no! What will I do without all that exclusive shovelware?!
They have a few gems (mostly, if not all, first party titles), but the majority of Wii games are garbage. Slopped together to get a taste of all the money printing going on in the Nintendo camp.
I'm fairly certain the $6 million home theater that was floating around the internet awhile ago is better than this.
The only GTAIV commercial I've seen here in the United States is that GameStop one, and it just displays both console logos at the bottom in the end of the commercial.
No big "Jump In" or "Playstation 3" screen.
Ah, Thrill Kill. The game that originally sparked my hatred for EA.
I'm surprised they mentioned Carmageddon. No one ever talks about those games. I kinda wanna go find my copy of Carmageddon 2 now...
The whole movie was an abomination. I knew exactly how it would play out the moment I heard Michael Bay was directing it. They should have called it what it really was: "Shia Labeouf and the GMC Robots".
Optimus Prime didn't even make an appearance until 1 hour into the movie. How are you going to make a Transformers movie that revolves around the humans? Hollywood, is there no childhood memory you can't crap on?
PAIN's not that great. Sure, it's fun for a bit, but I think the fact that it only has one stage really drains the life out of it quickly. I still play it sometimes, but I play my other games a lot more.
They are supposed to be releasing a 2nd stage, coming as DLC.
That's the worst, when the mother knows it's going on but doesn't stop it because "she loves him".
They both deserve life in prison.
Yeah, for such a time consuming process to unlock her in SCIII, she really didn't seem worth it.
I'd like it to go international.
Hong Kong? Berlin? Tokyo? St. Petersburg? London? (yes, I know there was a PS1 GTA here, but that doesn't really count =P).
Vegas would be best for another American GTA.
Hah, same here. When that game decides to get hard, it doesn't mess around.
Doesn't take a genius to see the nuances of 360 preference at G4. Hell, sometimes they don't even try to hide it. I watched some of AotS yesterday for the first time in months, and they were talking about how the X-Box 360 was losing steam in America to the PS3. Aside from the booing, it was followed up by a "don't worry, the X-Box will be fine" and chants of "America! America!" by Kevin, for being the only country that supports the 360 over the PS3. Was really sad to ...
Awesome! I've been waiting for a solid release date for this game for awhile. Very much looking forward to it.
