I never said Resistance was a better game than Gears, so before you put anymore words in my mouth, you should know I actually enjoyed Gears more.
I'm simply stating that his basis of comparison is entirely absurd and really shallow when observed by anyone with half a brain. I suppose media exposure means nothing too, since none of my points are valid. I wonder why people waste millions on advertising. Seems like a waste if it doesn't account for anything.

Gears had been getting hyped by the media months before its launch (they even ran a 30 minute TV show about it on MTV at the beginning of summer that year). The X-Box 360 had also been out for a full year before that, so it actually had a user base.

GameTrailers belongs MTV, which belongs to Viacom, who incidentally has a $500 million advertising contract with Microsoft. I'm not saying that proves bias, but $500,000,000 dumped solely into advertising through Viacom has to buy something, doesn't it?
Agreed that Final Fantasy VII has no business on this list. It's not even among my top 3 favorite Final Fantasy games, but it is an excellent game. They probably just put it there to get attention for the list. Without it, who's gonna argue the rest?

I grew up on the SNL of Phil Hartman, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, and Dana Carvey (among others). The stuff they do nowadays doesn't even compare to the old days, even when Will Farrell was peaking several years ago. I think it's been at least 5 years since I've bothered watching it, and at least 10 years since I've been a fan.

Could be an honest mistake, but it could also be pure trashy favoritism. Neither one would surprise me, judging by how they handle themselves over there. Only the people working at GameTrailers know for sure.

I'm pretty sure LittleBigPlanet had been slapped with a September release date sometime in the past couple months, so technically it is a delay... a 1 month delay.

Mine played perfectly the first 2 days I had it, but then last night it went all crazy. Infinite loading screens and freezes. Shutting off internet on the PS3 fixed it for me, but I know there's another group out there that hasn't even been able to get past the intro cut scene since launch, and nothing is able to fix it for them.
I only know one person who still uses their Wii as well. The others have all sold them off.

I like the driving in this game. Sure I skid out of control when I'm going entirely way too fast, but if I'm trying to drive well, I can.
I had this happen tonight too, as well as most of my friends. Pretty strange how it reached so many people around the same time.
I just restarted my PS3 twice when it happened, loaded up properly on the 2nd try. Didn't need to log out of the PSN, or disable online or anything, just a plain old restart.
I had a Genesis and Sega CD, my best friend had a Super Nintendo. We lived less than a mile away from each other, and there was a Blockbuster right in the middle between our houses.
