Yeah, no kidding. How about setting reasonable goals first, like somehow making a WWII shooter interesting.
Yeah, the crop circle. Didn't know wtf was going on the first time.
I felt stupid for downloading the $10 Call of Duty 4 Variety Pack after seeing the way they just bunch them up in the regular rotation after the first weekend. I've still never played a Killhouse game (yes I know, it's a 1 on 1 map).
Epic had just recently released a free UT3 map pack at the time as well, making it look like an even bigger rip off.
This is the main reason why I don't shop at GameStop. I don't support companies that practice consumer rape.
It drives me crazy when I see someone posting online about how excited they are that they got a whopping $30 for a handful of relatively new games from GameStop, when I know they could have gotten so much more if they bothered with eBay, or even Blockbuster. It's like selling a dollar to someone for a quarter, and being happy about it.
Too early to call GOTY, but MGS4 has really blown me away. It's hard to think about another game being a better overall experience.
Definitely, but I do think that this title in particular hits home for PS3 fans. This franchise was built on Sony consoles, as was its fanbase. Sure, it strayed away to Nintendo for a few years, but it eventually came back home. Now it's going to run off with the new kid because he's got a shiny gold necklace? That's the slap in the face to end all face slaps.
This is the main reason why I never wanted Microsoft to enter the console business. They're the perfect fit for the stereotypical evil corporate entity, and they practice dirty business in all venues they participate in. They buy their way to "quality" status via payoffs, and then have their PR sociopaths spin it as a sign of their infinite superiority, as if money had nothing to do with it.
Ugh...
Agreed. Throw everything at the main title (I assume that's the main title between the two), worry about Versus next. We don't need both of them at or around the same time, especially if it means one comes earlier than it normally would have.
You shouldn't have to look at any advertisements if you're paying for it.
Well in all honesty, as a stand alone title, it really is about a 7 or 8, which is why most people reviewed it as part of MGS4, seeing as how it's on the same disc and can't even be bought by itself.
I'm thinking the same. They'll probably announce it during their press conference so they have something extra to "unveil".
Why would he do that when he can reiterate his hatred of all things phenomenal? It's too logical and easy to simply skip the scenes.
I'm not the kind to blacklist sites, because everyone is capable of pulling a gem out of their ass once in awhile, but the fact that this guy is allowed to run his mouth over there just tells me that it's little more than amateur hour at GameDaily. Not sure how they came to be taken seriously in the first place. Seems like Bloodmask is the only u...
Personally, I'd much rather have Beautiful Katamari than Halo 3. Too many FPS titles nowadays.
Like LinuxGuru said, you haven't even begun to enjoy it yet if you're still on Act II. The game keeps getting better and better as it progresses. Just when you think you've played the best part, Kojima hits you with something even better.
Completely agree. I've completed the game twice and already started in on my 3rd, and it's just as spectacular now as it was the first time. I still get chills of excitement during the chases and certain epic boss fights of the game.
After playing through the entire game, I seriously don't understand how anyone could give it less than a 9 (I'd say 10, but I'm sure you could dock a point if you tried). Maybe it's because it's still fresh in my mind, but this game is above and beyond anything I've ever played in the last 20 years I've been gaming. I agree with IGN in saying this was the perfect send-off for the most legendary of heroes, and I agree with GamePro when they say we probably won't see another title of this cal...
Kudos Jaffe.
What happened to the Nintendo I used to know? The one that I and many others grew up with. Insulting their fanbase, filing lawsuits against 3rd party accessory makers, creating false supply shortages... the list goes on and on. They've gone from happy-go-lucky game makers to corporate snobs with the creation of the Wii. Shame on you, Nintendo.
That facepalm isn't big enough for something as facepalm-worthy as this.
Some of you may not like what pimpstation has to say, or how he says it, but it really is more or less the truth. If you've been paying attention to the electronics industry for the past couple decades, you'd know that Microsoft has a reputation for dirty business. They're very aggressive and will do whatever they can to get ahead, even when it hurts the consumer or breaks the law.
One recent example of this would be the 360. Any electronic device that breaks as much as the 36...
If the speculation is accurate, and March 2009 is the release date, I think they'll show a full trailer.
So excited for whatever info they show.
