I wouldn't want anyone else to do it.
I have no idea what they could do if they're moving forward beyond MGS4. It pretty much closed the book on all past storylines. I suppose they could move forward with Raiden, or do a prequel about what he was doing between MGS2 and MGS4, but I still don't think he's popular enough for them to justify giving him his own game again, especially after the backlash from MGS2. Personally, I'd rather play as The Boss if they went down a prequel r...
Just got 5 bronze trophies. Almost had the 20 bomb silver but I lost my last life as I was gunning towards the last 2 bombs I needed.
Just finished downloading. Gonna see if I can rack up some Super Stardust HD trophies.
I didn't expect them to do a trophy for each bronze/silver/gold badge/medal (they'd need 50+ for that alone), but I didn't think they'd whittle it all down to 10 either. Good to see they're adding a bunch of new things, though.
I thought MGS4 had already been confirmed too. Wasn't Konami making a fuss about in-game XMB and trophies being supported before MGS4 launched?
Not making the HDD standard really is one of their worst fumbles, but they wanted that really low price point to advertise to the uninformed consumer. Sucks for anyone who foolishly bought one instead of a premium/elite.
I thought installs were not allowed to be mandatory on 360 games for this exact reason?
Yeah, this game is usually the first to be recommended to PSN newbies. This one and PixelJunk Monsters. Most of my friends already own it, and the add-on pack. I bought it a couple months ago myself.
Agreed with the Gears bundle, but they seem to be against packing good games with their consoles. I'm guessing it's because they'd rather have their consumers go back and buy the good games once they realize the two packed in with the console are crap. The Halo 3 console didn't even come with Halo 3, go figure.
I'd consider buying one post-price drop if it were packed with Gears. Throw in Beautiful Katamari, a free year of XBL, and the rumored 60gig hard drive on top of that, ...
I'm beginning to understand why so many people consider Bloodmask a troll around here. He's the only person I ever see posting news from this site, a site which doesn't seem to have a single professional journalist up their sleeve.
Yeah... by RPG standards that's inexcusable.
Yeah, has to be. I think it's illegal to drop that many fantastic games in one year. =P
Looking pretty good, and I really wanna see the trophy video. I'm much more curious about how that's going to work out.
I think it's safe to say it's dropping during E3? Better to drop something backed by this much anticipation in front of an E3 crowd (and the viewers at home) than silently in the night.
Dammit. I still have my D2 classic w/key, but I lost my LOD a long time ago. I had the case with the key on it floating around somewhere, but I can't seem to find it now.
I think that some of the smaller cut scenes should have been playable to counteract that back and forth between small bits of play and cut scene. Like in Act I with Meryl, when you get inside the room with the elevator shaft and watch them all jump down. They could have made that playable, perhaps having you defend them from Frogs while they cracked open the door to the elevator shaft. Little things like that could have made a big difference.
Overall, as a big MGS fan, I loved...
"Where else are you gonna play your Starcraft?"?
If it means I need to upgrade to an OS of unknown quality, I'll just play it on my Mac. Every Blizzard game I own is on a PC/Mac hybrid CD.
Hey, give people free stuff with their purchase, and it'll sell more.
Am I an official analyst now, too? Is common sense the only requirement for the job?
They should just stick to PC. I don't know anyone who plays their games on any other platform.
Nothing in the epilogue really did anything for me, but I got kinda teary-eyed at a few parts in Shadow Moses. Felt the same way during some of the deeper moments with EVA, and that whole motorcycle chase gave me tears of amazement, making my jaw hit the floor.
Completely agree. I hate reading articles like this because it makes me jealous of the JPSN. Our selection of PS1 titles in America is absolutely abysmal (with the exception of Castlevania).
Never got around to buying Uncharted, perhaps now would be a good time. I really want MGS4 trophies. I'm still totally hooked on that game.
