I want it to be significantly more powerful than PS3 and 360 as the rumors suggest, and I want it to have a real harddrive with a lot of space. I'm hoping the 8gb installed flash memory rumor is untrue. That's much too small, and it will really limit the types of games developers can release for download. I also like the idea of a controller with a touch screen. I hope that rumor is true.
I love the 3DS system, but honestly I'm a little bored with it at the moment. That will change when the e-shop and Zelda are out.
Why does anyone think Nintendo will release a 3DS Lite? The original DS was really bulky, so it was understandable why Nintendo slimmed that down. But 3DS isn't too big, so if anything, Nintendo will keep it the same size or even make it a little bigger and put bigger screens on the next 3DS model.
@Klaykid123
The 3DS does not have N64 graphics. The original DS was the portable N64. The 3DS is more around the Gamecube and Wii in terms of power.
Also, PSP has sub-PS2 graphics. It isn't quite PS2 level.
The only game I want remade from the N64 is the classic Superman 64.
I hope the game really ends up looking this good.
What's with all the IGN hate on this site?
Yeah, I was underwhelmed by Uncharted 2's story also. But I thought all the other elements of the game were great, especially multiplayer, which ended up being more addictive than I thought it would be.
That's a pretty awesome freebie. Thanks Nintendo.
I think this is like the 100th time I've heard someone refer to the 3DS's 3D function as a gimmick, so I'm compelled to comment on it.
I've had extensive play time with the 3DS since its launch, and I can say that the 3D effect actually improves the way you can play games. I've played Pilotwings and Ridge Racer both in 3D and 2D, and I found that the depth perception offered by 3D really helped me play those games better. In Ridge Racer, the 3D helped me anticipate...
"There are like 18 ds models now."
No, there are four models of the DS, just like there are four models of the PSP.
Rest in piece you gaming legend you.
Yeah, Luigi's Mansion was fun, but it was too short and kind of light on content. A new Mario Galaxy would be a better launch title in my opinion.
Thanks. Your link took me to a page that lists a lot of great games.
This looks like it will be really cool visually. I just hope it's fun too.
I'm really looking forward to this update.
It was actually codenamed project reality. Then they came up with the name Ultra 64, then changed it to Nintendo 64.
That's normal. Everyone who wanted one at launch got one, and considering nothing compelling has come to the 3DS since launch, others who are interested in the system will wait until their most-wanted game(s) gets released.
Yes, the Professor Layton series is great. I'm looking forward to the 3DS version.
Nintendo never ends up using its codenames, so you can bet it will end up with a different name.
