I was talking specifically about Sony and their PlayStation products, not the entire electronics industry. The original $50 increase a few months back should have been enough to mitigate the effects of trade taxes and parts shortages and whatnot. This price increase seems like a ploy to squeeze money out of customers to cover losses from frivolous spending. And they have the perfect cover story to pull it off. I could go into more detail, but I’m not trying to write a novel...
I don’t think this price hike is because of tariffs, or RAM prices, or AI. That’s just a cover story. I have no doubt Sony is raising prices to recuperate the immense losses on failed live-service games and unfruitful acquisitions (Bluepoint, Bungie, etc.). They’ve blown a shit-ton of money, and now they want their fans to pay for it.
A Zelda 1 remake would be great, but not with the Echoes of Wisdom art style. I find it unappealing.
What a silly comment. Code Veronica is not niche. I’m sure most RE fans are well aware of its existence, and it’s well liked by most fans. CV started development as the real Resident Evil 3, and Nemesis was originally just a side story, but Sony pitched a fit about RE3 CV releasing on Dreamcast instead of PlayStation, so Capcom was pressured into making Nemesis the third official RE. So remaking CV makes a lot of sense since it advances the storyline of the RE series, unlike Nemesis, which di...
There are several Switch 2 editions of games released on Switch 1 that retail for $79.99.
The first and third person views are the fixed camera modes. The retro style camera mode you speak of is a shifting camera view.
Don’t trust the reviews on this one. I played through the game, and it feels nothing like a proper metroidvania. Check out Ratatoskr’s review on YouTube. His analysis is spot-on. You’re better off saving your money, or just borrow the game from someone for free if that’s an option.
I recommend passing on Metroid Prime 4. It’s a big disappointment, and easily the worst of the series.
Drop prices, otherwise the change in leadership is pointless.
The gap between 5 and 6 is 13 years, so the gap between 6 and 7 will be at least that long, especially if they switch focus to another franchise like Red Dead after GTA6 releases.
Imagine how long it’ll take to get GTA7 after GTA6 releases.
Nintendo never got that memo.
Is it confirmed that you need the accessory to play the games? Or can you play the games in 2D without the accessory?
I don’t know why you got downvotes. That’s a funny comment.
There is a connection between video games and violence. The connection is that video games reduce violence because it provides an outlet for people to take out their stress and anger in a digital world as opposed to the real world. It’s not like the world was totally peaceful before the invention of video games, and then all of a sudden violence ensued once Mortal Kombat and other violent games hit the scene in the 90’s. The world was hyper violent and cruel long before videogames were ever c...
A pixel remaster would be most welcome, especially with the option to choose between the SNES and DS translations.
A physical copy would only be playable for owners of a PS5 with a disc drive. But a digital copy is playable on all PS5’s. That’s why they include digital copies.
I’ve been wanting a console-only variant of the Switch for a while. Manufacturing costs would be less since it wouldn’t require a screen or battery, so they could sell it for less than the standard model. Hopefully they’ll do that with Switch 2, and price it at $350 or less.
It would be nice if they announced a release date.
