I'm confused. How is this article Anti-Sony??? It's just a paragraph that says Sony is discontinuing production of the PS2 in Japan. Seriously, your comment hurt my brain.
Well, not really the Wii. The failure rate on that is quite low.
I'm pretty sure the PS3 and 360 versions don't allow that type of multiplayer experience because their controllers don't have built-in screens.
@MmaFan-Qc
No, he's not delusional. He's just stating a fact. I also own both the Wii U and a PS3, and between the two, the Wii U offers a superior online experience, and it's only going to get better.
Mika, you clearly hate Nintendo, so why do you comment in so many Nintendo-related articles? What is to be gained? I'm personally not a fan of Microsoft or the 360, but I don't post negative comments in 360-related articles, or even click the links for that matter. I just avoid what I don't like. Why don't you and others like you just do the same?
If you're suggesting that a game machine can't be successful if it's in stock at stores, then by that logic, every console and handheld on the market is unsuccessful since I can find all of them in pretty much any store I go to that sells them.
@Ulf
I was referring to the launch day, and roughly the first week after for that matter. I'm aware the Wii U is readily available now, but it's now more than a month after the launch.
@People who disagreed
Did you guys disagree because you think that what I said is factually incorrect, or did you disagree because I pointed out something that makes Nintendo (and not Sony) look good?
The Wii U sold out at launch also. If you didn't pre-order, you pretty much didn't get one on launch day.
A Super Nintendo style Mega Man game would be appreciated.
Ha, I got a nice laugh out of your comment. That dude is pretty annoying.
I'd have to say that's my main gripe with the Vita. Also, I think in the near future, Sony should just sell the Vita with a built-in hard-drive as a standard. I'm thinking maybe like 20 gigs or so, with the option to expand of course.
3DS game prices should definitely come down. I can kind of understand the $40 price point for top-of-the-line Vita games because it's a powerful HD portable with higher than usual development costs. But I can't imagine 3DS games cost as much to develop as Vita games in general.
It's clearly not a "doom and gloom" article. Even the headline makes that obvious. It says "The Vita is in big trouble." That's not an opinion, that's a fact. It's not selling well. You can't really deny that. Then it says "but it can be saved," and then the author goes on to explain what changes he thinks Sony should make in order to make the Vita successful. How does that qualify as "doom and gloom?" If you want to see some real do...
A lot of people say that for a game to get a very low score it has to be broken or plagued with bugs and glitches, but I have to disagree. There are games that are such horrid experiences, even if they're technically sound, that they may well deserve 1's or 2's out of 10. I don't know about Zombi U though because I haven't played it yet, but I'd like to try it out.
I could see this maybe being ported to Vita, but they would never make it a Vita exclusive, not with such a small install base of Vita owners, and the fact that all other numbered Metal Gears were console releases.
This isn't a doom article. The author states clearly that he likes the Vita, and he offers suggestions on how to improve sales and functionality.
Digital distribution is neither a privilege or a right, it's a business model. If enough people decide not to buy digital games because they think prices are too high, publishers will be forced to lower prices. Hopefully that will happen with the eShop and PSN. Why wouldn't you want that?
As a Wii U and 3DS owner, I would very much like to see a trophy/achievement type system on both those consoles. I don't NEED it, but it would be nice because it gives you more incentive to play the games and accomplish certain things.
What a coincidence. I personally bought 1.2 games when I purchased my Wii U.
That was a one-of-a-kind moment in gaming for sure. I'm glad I got to experience that transition as a kid.
