This game, and the price drops and Pixel Junk Monsters have made the Vita a much more tempting purchase for me. I just wish I had more money.

I could understand having play limits if you could only download demos once. But you can download demos as many times as you want which defeats the purpose of play limits. In fact, it likely adds more traffic that Nintendo's servers have to deal with when people download demos multiple times, which you'd think Nintendo would want to avoid.

Yes, Metroid Prime does rock. I was stunned at how good it was when I first played it on the Cube, and it's still great. I have the Prime Trilogy on Wii, and I'm never letting that go.
I think it was forward-thinking for Sony to add blu-ray to the PS3. Of course that move benefited the format greatly and helped defeat HD DVD, but Sony knew it would, so I don't think any luck was involved.
I would argue against you that casual gamers did not use their Wii's for a short time and then leave it alone to gather dust. They were just content with only owning a small handful of games/software that they played/used consistently.
I think you're right that many people are still unaware of the Wii U. I've spoken to many casual gamers who own and love the Wii, and when I mention the Wii U, they just stare at me blankly and ask, "what's that?" That's not good, and it's Nintendo's fault for not marketing the Wii U properly. I'm thoroughly enjoying Pikmin 3 as well. It's very fun and well designed. However, I do miss the weird noises and singing the Pikmin did in parts 1 and 2. That's weirdly missing in part 3. I thought it was funny and charming so I'm sad to see they axed it. Maybe too many people found it annoying or something.
I'm surprised you don't have any agrees. That would be awesome to have a real RE game along with Metroid, Starfox and Zelda (which we know is coming with WW and the new one). I'm a huge Metroid fan, so it would be great to get a new Prime game or something like it.
You're right. The big three will continue to co-exist for a while, and the Wii U will do healthy business for Nintendo, especially from first-party software. The Wii U not only will not fail, but I think it has the potential to even win this next gen in terms of sales. It's unlikely, but I believe possible when more compelling games are released for Wii U.
This is my favorite Zelda game, so I'm very excited to play this after many years with better graphics and in HD.
Really, all Wii U needs is games. That's all that matters. When Nintendo starts delivering big games on a regular basis starting with Pikmin 3, sales will pick up quite a bit I'm sure. I think Wii U will do fine business, at least just for Nintendo themselves. I don't know if it will outsell PS4 or X1, but I at least think it has a chance.

I recall reading a statement from Wind Waker producer that the "lost levels" from Wind Waker were used in future Zelda games. However, I'm not sure how they were used, and in which Zelda games.
The Wii U's 3rd party game ports weren't bad. In fact, they were often better in certain ways. The problem was that many of them were released months or even more than a year after their PS3/360/PC counterparts, and for full retail price.
Yes, lack of games is the Wii U's biggest problem now, particularly lack of first party games. There are only 3 Nintendo games on Wii U, and 2 of them are launch games. The third is the lackluster Game & Wario. Releasing more great first party games on a regular basis will help Wii U significantly.
Where did you hear this would be a digital-only release? It didn't say that in the article or any other article I've read about this game.
Strange reply. I was just suggesting that a price drop along with more 1st party releases would sell more Wii U's. I never implied current owners should get money back after a price drop. Why would you think that I thought that?
As a Wii U owner, I don't think the system is a compelling purchase at this time. But this holiday (Nov/Dec) it will be more enticing since it will have a bigger 1st party library. A price drop would make things even better.
My god, I had no idea Kinect Adventures sold that much. That's crazy.
Anyway, I wouldn't count the original Wii Sports seeing as how it was packed in with the Wii. In fact, any game packed in with a system should not count as a sale of that game as far as I'm concerned. I know the industry sees differently, but that's just my opinion.
