yeah, i'll wait it out to buy a 360 since those functions will be added on later. man, they just keep on adding to catch up when ALL ps3's come with the same parts. some minus bc and 2 usb ports. but all the rest is the same and the HDD can be bought super cheap anywhere at any store.

why a lot of ps2 owners bought a 360 is because it was the only next gen out for a year before the others came out. now you will see the sales for the 360 drop and drop as the rest of the ps2 userbase upgrades to a ps3.
maybe he should listen to industry news because the PSN will have those features and more. it will be another thing gone from the xbox arsenal

that's why i highly doubt they will be releasing anything with blu-ray for the 360. but i'm pretty sure the next xbox will have it built-in
the inclusion or not of blu-ray will not kill the xbox in any way. i don't know how they would introduce it as an add-on or built in but it will be very hard to do so, and so i don't think they will be adding it. it will be in the 720 though.

it doesn't make sense to add blu to the 360 in any form. i believe it will be in the 720 for sure as by then the need for more storage space will have gone up.
MS will never make the games to use Blu-ray. that would be suicide. what of the 18M current owners. no, it MIGHT (i stress that word) be an add-on or possibly in a new SKU. but for games not until the 720

on another note, i find blu-ray on a PC is worthless. it sucks as a data storage medium when usb drives and hdd's are cheaper and more reliable. blu-ray is only good for movies but watching it 1 foot away from your computer screen is just stupid
